Hello

there was so much good news for bitcoin in 2017. Alot positive news which took the price of the bitcoin to the moon at the end.

iam thinking , if even this news are coming back in 2018 it wont be anything new, so the price wont go again to the peak of maybe 20k$ ?

iam also a bit nervous at the present, as iam a long term holder since 2013 and i missed the train of the highest peak to sell. now the dilemma is at aprox 8-9k$ usd

i want your opinions about why the coin wont go up or will go up. ( which kind of things are in present that the price will go deeper and which kind of news will bee there that it will go back higher )?
what?your a long term holder since 2013 and yet not selling?are you kidding us,the price of bitcoin in2013 is just three digits and now telling us that you missed the train?common if the bitcoin on your wallet was from that year, you should be rich by now becae bitcoin stands more than $10,000 now and i am sure big profits awaits you releasing that bitcoin now
He still got good profits but he did not sold at the top of the market and now he is worried that he will have to sell for a bad price, but when you miss the top the only thing to do is to wait for the next pump after all it is a terrible mistake if you are a long term holder to sell your bitcoins for less than the best possible price  because a long term holder is not a trader and has all the time of the world to get his exit of the market right.

In the late of 2017th BItcoin is truly have a first stage movement, its real essentials for the markets after that happen. I don't think Bitcoin will cease to exist after it finished the first stage movements, instead, I'm sure a lot of promising things could come up in the future.

Bitcoin is just in the development stage so 2017 is not the last era instead last year is the beginning of how bitcoin will rule the cryptocurrency world in the next more years. The only one thing who can stop is the rise of a new coin with more advantage than bitcoin but I think it will not happen immediately because in this matter of time no coin have the qualities to beat bitcoin.

People are predicting the end of bitcoin era for many years now. When multiple countries are adopting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, governments are launching their own cryptocurrencies, big financial giants are stepping in and adopting cryptos, then how can you call this year the end? Adoption has just started! People have only started to come in. First few months of the year are bearish and statistics support it. Bullish movement will start by april.

I agree, when the developers finally end with the development of the lightning network I think we could say that will be the end of this is phase in the life of bitcoin however that doesn't mean that is going to be truly the end, in fact it is just the beginning, bitcoin is going to be around for a long time and once people finally realize that, they will begin to use bitcoin and as a consequence the price will go up again for the surprise of many but not us.

If you are holding bitcoins from 2013 you still made huge profits,LOL Cheesy
If you are an long term investors you no need to care about the temporary price dumps and bumps you may know what is the capability of bitcoin.

But I don't think you are holding bitcoin since 2013. Shocked

I see that 2017 was the year of a great breakthrough on the market of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin popularity will be increasing, and its price will go up, too.

I tend to believed that we really started this year at the wrong feet and then there's the government regulations going around plus the Mt. Gox trustee continuing to massive sell off. But we have to remember that there are still a lot of positive news as well. Nations adopting bitcoin is one, and the much anticipated LN implementation which I believed will be rolled out this year.

With that said, 2018 will also another break out year. Its just that the bearish trend is the current sentiments but I'm sure that bears can regain everything starting next month and will continue and hit another all-time-high.

A lot of things happened on 2017 but its not yet the best of the best but its part of the history already.

as iam a long term holder since 2013
I wonder if you are a real long term holder since 2013 and why are you even asking as a very simple thing that can be answered by your experience from the years that you've been with bitcoin.

Exactly, by the length of the OP's experience he wont supposed to be worrying about this huge dip. Another thing, if he has been holding since 2013, then he must be very rich today. Not really a big deal if I'm on his shoes lol, I know this is not the end of Bitcoin, it has already been starting to have its mass adaption. If that happens btc will land a new ATH after ATH and so on.

No doubt there was serious positive news almost every where in the world in 2017 and that really move the market value of Bitcoin and other altcoins to the positive direction and am very optimistic that at the tail end of this year 2018 they will all move to the positive direction.

There are already predictions made in the past but bitcoin continue to survive after passing some massive corrections or price crashes. I think only time can tell when will the bitcoin era ends, if that era end what will happen to the altcoins? Maybe to be able to predict the future of the bitcoin and others, we have to predict our future first. If our prediction for our future comes true, then we can able to predict the future of the others.

I believed that Bitcoin price last year was successfully manipulated by the Big whales last year in which they can possible pump and dump a certain coin because of their huge resources. Maybe last year they pump will Bitcoin to attract more investors to pour their investments making Bitcoin price value become fast moving up then when the price already almost reach $20,000 they suddenly selling their coins to benefits from the high price. If they do it again this year we should use our experience to be on board of their strategy.

According to my speculative interpretation, bitcoin will experience the same thing every year at the end of know. This is normal if we see there are two big day celebrations there.
Perhaps this is a trick for people who dont have an end of year vacation plan, which is manipulating bitcoin prices by putting particular pressure on people to sell bitcoins for a low price.

There is no way 2017 will be the era of bitcoin because I strongly believe that before the end 2018 the market value of bitcoin will more higher that what we witness last year.

I dont agree on this bitcoin the last era in 2017. There are many issues has passed from bitcoin but bitcoin has been stands strong dor many years now. Bitcoin may become big this year and will still circulate for the users.

You are a hodler since 2013 I guess you know the history of bitcoin. It's not the end of bitcoin and the price will be rise again. I have faith on bitcoin that the price will go up again like the old days. You need to know that cryptocurrency has a volatile capability. So we expect this situation of bitcoin life.

Lol. Another doomsday thread. I can't count how many threads have been made since bitcoin price is going down and predicting that it will die. Bitcoin is now above $11K so the whole argument that 2018 will the doom of bitcoin.

Clearly this is another thread to discredit bitcoin and doesn't understand that its very resilient and has been tested so many times in its young career but eventually risen from everything and the price soaring to new all-time-high.
Well, people love to predict doomsday scenarios, they have been doing it for a long time not only for bitcoin but sometimes for the entire human race and none of those scenarios have ever come true, it is very likely that is never going to happen to bitcoin either. Yes we are having some rough times right now with the price but in everything else bitcoin is a strong as ever so I have no doubts the price will recover.

Yeah, bitcoin will surely bounce back after those downfall. We just need to be patient to wait for that moment. It's not yet ready to do some series of bull run as more negative news surrounds the cryptoworld that divert the attention of the buyers.

If he likes, he should assume it to be the end of bitcoin and dump what he has because bitcoin tanked from 19k to 6k and he is panicking it will never recover. I do not even expect such to come from someone who claims to have been holding since 2013.

Bitcoin has had series of ups and downs even around that time, so why is he then asking for opinions on whether to sell now or whether bitcoin will never experience any increase in the long run. The exchange is opened and he can sell; I wonder why you guys keep petting him.
