You are a hodler since 2013 I guess you know the history of bitcoin. It's not the end of bitcoin and the price will be rise again. I have faith on bitcoin that the price will go up again like the old days. You need to know that cryptocurrency has a volatile capability. So we expect this situation of bitcoin life.
Something is not even adding up here. How can someone who has been holding since 2013 ask such a question knowing how bitcoin has been over the years. If he is worried about not selling at the top and wanting to sell at the bottom now, then he must really be high on cheap drugs, because who would actually do something like that. In any case though, it is his choice, he is still in profit and he can do whatever he so pleases to do with his cash.

No i don’t think so...for me it was just the beginning of soaring, but due to some issues that cannot be avoided, naturally the market will go down, but since bitcoin  has a strong foundation already in the market, it will eventually  go back to rising again,as every one is expected. For me bitcoin has a good future to wait, only we have face also some sudden good and bad fluctuation, but we just have to stay positive and believe that good thing is waiting ahead😊

iam also a bit nervous at the present, as iam a long term holder since 2013 and i missed the train of the highest peak to sell. now the dilemma is at aprox 8-9k$ usd
Just curious, how much you bought your coins at that time? I bet not even in $1k, so you can still earn if you sell at the current value of $11k if what you're saying is true that you are a btc hodler since 2013.

Nevertheless if you want to have a huge gain then continue to hodl because the price of btc is driven by the market demand. If there's less supply then the price will increase again.

It seems that he is really not serious right now. If he is serious, then what would he expect those who bought at 19k to do? Someone who bought in 2013 should be swimming in a lot of huge profit right now and be in the easiest position to even hold and stop giving the bullshit on how he missed the peak. If he likes he can go ahead to sell now, who is stopping him? Good riddance! I really do not believe any of that his story anyway, probably someone who is just trying to gain attention.

Exactly, that was just a beginning since I believe it will rise soon to a greater height and that only in this year. Due to its volatile nature its obvious for bitcoin to show some of the fluctuations but that's quite normal for it. For now, the prices are drastically declined but I think it will surely be up again as I expect the market to recover in the upcoming months...

There is no way 2017 will be the era of bitcoin because I strongly believe that before the end 2018 the market value of bitcoin will more higher that what we witness last year.
I dont agree on this bitcoin the last era in 2017. There are many issues has passed from bitcoin but bitcoin has been stands strong dor many years now. Bitcoin may become big this year and will still circulate for the users.
There is nothing like last era, we are even just starting a new era with things even getting better and since the OP claimed to be a holder since 2013, I wonder why he would be in a dilemma of wanting to sell now. If he feels he urgently need the money, then he can go ahead, freely he has received and freely he can decide to give but if he is really panicking to want to sell right now, then he has really not been holding since 2013, because that is not playing out.

I am sure he has been lucky to not have bothered checking the chart since 2013 to come here to give us some story on how he has been holding since 2013. If he has, he won't even be asking us a question newbie should be asking. This is bitcoin, volatility is normal, it has been occurring since the days of bitcoin hitting the exchange, so why on earth will he think this is the end of bitcoin era? If he thinks so, then he is free to make his own decisions rather than asking us our opinion.

I just can not understand Why many say that this is the last Age for bitcoin. Everyone says that these are new technologies and the future is very promising. But then why talk about death or end.

I have read many assumptions nor conclusions that bitcoin will be dead, the last era of bitcoin. The price lately continues dropping but it does not mean the End of bitcoin. For those involve in bitcoin for years now, it is the same situation in bitcoin today we experience of this downtrend. Thus, it will not end probably for sure their is a good things may happen in bitcoin.

People have insanely short memory spans. Let's look at how much world reserve currencies lasted for:

It's rather obvious that:

1) Bitcoin is still in embryonic stages, not even born yet.
2) The US will stop being the world reserve currency during our lifetime
3) Due 2), Bitcoin could shine and be worth millions, specially during the transition period.

Anyone not holding big amounts of BTC is insane, or at least 1 BTC.

Great graph, this shows very clearly that empires come and go and while it may seem the United States is going to be the biggest superpower for the rest of our lives that is not the truth, another country is going to emerge and take its place eventually and when that happens a new reserve currency will replace the dollar.

I completely agree about all statements in this post. I personally don't expect bitcoin to shine like diamonds to reach million dollar levels but I am pretty sure 50 to 100k dollars are gonna be very possible in couple of years.

I expect mass adoption this year as many people are becoming aware of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies market and we are not going to be limited by what is happening now. Bitcoin is going to grow this year and it will pass the December high of $20,000 and I think by December this year we might see bitcoin above $50,000.

I think that's impossible, we all definitely do not want that to happen.because we all need Bitcoin, maybe behind the decline of Bitcoin there will be a good thing later even though we all do not know what good things will happen. Our expectations are all the same, so we must all be sure that in this new era Bitcoin will begin soon.we all can only pray the best for Bitcoin in this year.

Mass adoption will be driven by people becoming aware of bitcoin and being encouraged to try it out. This has to happen through media coverage. It’s highly unlikely that large number of new users will adopt bitcoin purely through word of mouth. With the crash in price, media coverage has petered out as well.

Hello

there was so much good news for bitcoin in 2017. Alot positive news which took the price of the bitcoin to the moon at the end.

iam thinking , if even this news are coming back in 2018 it wont be anything new, so the price wont go again to the peak of maybe 20k$ ?

iam also a bit nervous at the present, as iam a long term holder since 2013 and i missed the train of the highest peak to sell. now the dilemma is at aprox 8-9k$ usd

i want your opinions about why the coin wont go up or will go up. ( which kind of things are in present that the price will go deeper and which kind of news will bee there that it will go back higher )?

I have to disagree on this,  Bitcoin is just starting out so the though of 2017 being the last era of Bitcoin is moot.  Acceptance coupled with regulation in different country are sprouting out through out the globe.  This means governmnet are readying their country to accept Bitcoin. Meaning,, the era of Bitcoin is yet to come and it will come soon once scalability issue is fixed perfectly.

I think the problem nowadays is that people still want to relived that hype of December madness. Please, we need to move forward and face the current situation. And this moment the price is still moving around $8500-$9000 which for me is still good.

I wanted the price to go and move around $20K, unfortunately it will not be the case for long as there are a lot of FUD and people who's intention is to really bring down the market. And everyone should really think of it in the long term so that all of you can maximized the profit bigtime specially before the end of the year.

If you are talking about speculation - then maybe, but I don't believe so. You know that experts are predicting 100.000 USD in a matter of a couple of years, right?
But if you are talking about technology - you couldn't be more wrong. Bitcoin is in it's adolescence phase, testing the real life and adopting to scaling problems. Once dealt with ..... the sky of adoption will be the limit.

What expert opinion do you trust? I can cite many examples of statements by experts who say that bitcoin is a bubble and it will cost nothing. In fact, no one knows the future of bitcoin. I think that a lot depends on our actions. We are responsible for the existence and prices of bitcoin. All experts voice only what we want to hear in order to be popular.
