I personally am not worried about seeing the price of cryptocurrency crashes, I'm sure this is just a correction and the price will increase again in the future, so I'm thinking now only to buy bitcoin and it will be invested for a long term.

Bitcoin will remain bitcoin whatever happens, whether it's price is at the top most high or even reaching the bottom part. This is the first cryptocurrency ever made so it doesn't deserved to be called an altcoin and besides how come that a pioneer in this field will become an alternative?  (no offense)

How sure are you with that? We still have remaining 10 months and I'm sure that lot of things will still happen. It's still  very early to predict the market, I'm still pretty confident that btc will rise again, just keep waiting.

Clearly that bitcoin is the mother of coin and has become common other coins called as alterntive or altcoin, what makes you think that it would be referred as altcoin? even though there is an altcoin which has value higher than bitcoin it doesn't make bitcoin turning to altcoin. Bitcoin will remain the main crypto currency even if its value continue to drop. For me no alt can ever take bitcoin's place, the trust earn by bitcoin is hard to replace also no alt can appreciate the way bitcoin did.

So whatever the price of bitcoin, it will be never called other thing. Bitcoin is bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the first crypto currency and the other coins created after bitcoin was called alternatives so it will not be called altcoin since bitcoin is the main and the first one regardless of its price. if bitcoin price fall, the price of other coins follow so no other altcoins will take over the bitcoins.

I don't think bitcoin would be could an altcoin the downfall of the price won't last forever it could take a year but we'll surely recover after that and we convert most altcoins with bitcoin (chain reaction happens if bitcoin is down same goes with alts) that's why I think it'll be hard for bitcoin to be called an alt. Imo it would take years before we see a random altcoin taking over the spot of bitcoin.

I totally agree! Altcoins are being converted into bitcoin when you trade it. So how would it be possible for bitcoin to become an altcoin when in the very first place, all altcoins are depending on bitcoin. Bitcoin will still be the most powerful crypto currency among others.

Bitcoin cannot be called a Alt coin, because it was the first Crypto currency. The Market cap or the value cannot change the fact that it is the original coin and all coins developed after that are called Alt coins. Even if the value of bitcoins goes to $1, it will still be the original coin.

I think bitcoin will still be called bitcoin, bitcoin name already familiar in crypto currencies users, it's not that easy to switch bitcoin position, right now the market of bitcoin is not good but once lightning network working, investors will switch back to bitcoin and it will be easy for bitcoin to be on top, so bitcoin will never being called as alt coin
