How long does it take for Trezor to support BTC2X

There is no BTX2X.
Garzik and DCG's Segwit 2x died a well deserved death before it launched.

There was a "relaunch" by a Russian scammer but AFAIK that didn't gain any traction.

The latest BTC2X fork did not able to have necessary support from community. Many of the exchanges have not supported BTC2X fork. So I doubt if trezor or ledger will support it.

Looks like there's a lot of hardware wallet users that still haven't realized you don't need your vendor to update their firmware into supporting shitcoins.

If you get a hardware wallet and the developers of the product actually care about getting your coins safe, they would have a platform that's as minimalist as possible, ideally supporting only bitcoin. Having multiple coins in there, specially multiple forks, only raises the possibility of exploits.

If you want to access the forks which is understandable since it's free money, you can just move your coins into other BTC addresses, then import the now empty private keys in the fork's wallet and there you go. Just don't ask hardware wallet developers to add endless forks because it defeats the purpose.

Right. However get the priv. keys from the seed isn't easy at all.. with electrum I imported the seed and got balance but can't export priv. keys.

It's actually pretty easy.

You just need to restore a wallet with your Trezor/Ledger seed and check "BIP39 seed" in Electrum. It will generate your hardware wallet addresses. Then, just go to the Addresses tab, right click the address and select "Private-key".

In Electrum: "Standard Wallet" -> "I already have a seed" -> Write your seed -> "Options" -> "BIP39 seed" -> Next.

I tried that, but I don’t have the option to export the priv. Keys.. any electrum version I need to use?

You can always just use the "Mnemonic Code Converter" (https://iancoleman.io/bip39/)...

Put in your seed... click "BIP44"... all your addresses and private keys will be displayed...
