Factors that affects Bitcoin price

#1 SUPPLY AND DEMAND - We all know that bitcoin has a limited supply therefore it price differs depending on the supply and demand. High demand while supply is low can make the bitcoin price go up.

#2 THE GOVERNMENTS - We have all witnessed that everytime a government implements new regulation regarding on cryptocurrencies, it has a big impact on bitcoin price. For example a government restricts the use of cryptocurrencies in its country.

#3 MEDIA - This is one of the cause of change of bitcoin price. In this section, we can see different type of news, the positive and negative. This also includes fake news and celebrities and known persons getting involve in cryptocurrencies.
Positive news - such as hype on bitcoin
Negative news - such as hacks that cause panics

#4 WHALES - This are the people that holds a big amount of bitcoin. It have a big impact on bitcoin price once these whales decided to sale or buy at the same time. So it is something like market manipulation.

#5 BITCOIN TECHNOLOGY - This affects bitcoin base on its stability. Right now, we are facing some declines because of many users loses interests to bitcoin due to slow transactions and bigger fees which is not effective in small transactions.


There are more factors out there that affects bitcoin price but for me, these are the common factors. If you have suggestions and corrections as well as addition to this topic you can post it in this thread to be added.

If you're in a country with a failing economy whose currency is losing value everyday due to massive amount of printing, you might consider cryptos as a life boat.

They have a global access with nowadays technology different from supply and demand which only users having bitcoin and users wanting to buy it have an impact. Hackers have also a low impact on bitcoin price in for a very short time. I also think that bitcoin price movements are only influenced by supply and demand when inventories are low and demand increases then prices will go up, and vice versa when inventories are high and demand decreases  this will make the bitcoin price decrease as well. But behind it all there are many factors that mempepengaruhi supplay and demand is as mentioned above.

Partly to blame is the media. Media has a great following and when they mis-interpret a government directive, boom the price goes down. Case in point india..just the other day promised to "crackdown on illegitimate activities involving cryptocurrency" The media decided, well, the Gov of India is banning crypto..and hell broke loose!

In general, it is about supply and demand.  I just added those other factors so that newbies would have an idea of where to base. For i when i was a newbie in cryptocurrency, i know that it is affected by supply and demand yet i don't know what are the cause of big ups and downs of bitcoin.

The media can manipulate many persons mind internationally and it is the media who was the promoter of a very good increase in bitcoin and now lately with the ban news in a few countries they have been a promoter of a very bad decrease in price of bitcoin.

Although it is correct, i would like to emphasize that media can have a huge role or factor for the demand and supply. News may influence people who have 0 knowledge about bitcoin, they just need to butter their words a little and make the subject a little bit interesting then people would try and join the cryptoworld which would increase the value of bitcoin since the supply would decrease. The media can also say negative thoughts that may restrict the viewers in buying one. Thus, lessening the demand making the value of the bitcoin to go down

Yeah it is main problem for most of the people that they are not aware of bitcoin buying and selling time but it is not that hard as now this bitcoin talk.org is place where a lot of people combine together to get discussion about bitcoin rise and fall, according to me bitcoin use to increase at time when people who interest for bitcoin to buy and they will become ready to invest in it. It decrease with lack of investors if people will not invest in bitcoin then price of bitcoin will gradually decrease.
