Last 6 months crypto has been more as an obsession than a hobby.
Fortunately I invested nothing except some money in mining equipment.

I'm going to uninstall all crypto tracking apps from my phone and pick up some good video games to keep me busy until my vacation which starts 25th Feb.
It's only too bad that my vacation money is in crypto. But I hope it will bounce back somewhat in early March so I don't have to sell half my portfolio.
this is actually a very very good idea. i will follow you on this one and do something else for the next four weeks.

I have the same tactic, when everything is going down I just remove myself from cryptoworld. I go outside, or play games, focus on my work. Always works.

Taking a break is also a kind of gambling. Hold and forget. Maybe you will be rich after months. You are choosing listening to your mind voice. I hope it will be good for you.

To the frank it looks like a hobby than a real investment by the way to talk, you are telling that you invested in mining equipments and not in a particular coin and hope you are aware that investing in mining equipment is a long term deal as it will take a long time to get the initial investment,if you could not figure that out with the obsession you had ,it is pretty lame  Tongue . Can i ask what all coins you were mining to build a portfolio and in my opinion never sell anything when the market is down, there is nothing wrong in taking a break but always wait for the market to recover ,if not there is no point in wasting six month of yours to end up in a loss.

If in any way possible, do not fund your holiday with your bitcoins.... you will regret it. This Dip in the price looks very

organized, and we think that a correction are not far in the future now. These people know exactly how to create panic and

they are waiting for the price to drop to a specific level, before they are buying back in again. I say, stop watching the price

and just go on holiday.  Wink

Dude
that is a sign of disappointment, why did you pause? You know?
You can still make money from crypto while waiting for bitcoin back towards the moon. Do not be sad, we know this is just a regular correction at the beginning of the month.

True, bitcoin now is getting lower and lower day by day. I am still on bitcoin yesterday but when I saw bitcoin price early today I think it will go lower more. Hopefully not. I don't still want to sell all my bitcoins.

Taking a break is healthy :-)

I found masternodes make for a healthier hobby.... i don't constantly watch the price and just have push notifications if a server goes down.

Oh well... if your mind says you need to take a break then take a brake. Apparently, there is some sort of stress engulfing you right now. Having a break will allow both your body and mind to replenish and be fresh again. It's always a wonderful idea to have a nice vacation as it provides a great relief from stress, opens up a new perspective on life, allows you to get back anew that long lost energy, and in the end transforms you to a more pleasant, more durable, and a more inspiring human being.  Smiley

If crypto took all of your time until now than it is a good thing that you are taking a break. Relax and let the money grow until your vacation

Just like anything if you feel it is taking over a break is a good idea. I would not give up completely. I'm sure many are feeling deflated with the way the crypto world has gone in the last couple of weeks.

Our hands need to be strong at the moment, as for me nothing will tempt me to sell but I have decided to close my portfolio till further notice.

How or Why is the price going down?

Because you people are setting up a sell order(opening trade), stop opening orders to sell and rather help to bring up the price, its to your benefit and profit.
The higher it is, the higher the profit.

I suppose your mood is the result of the market fall. You might feel at a loss and simply do not know what to do next. Do not go away for a long time — the situation will change in less than 2-3 weeks, and you will be obsessed by the crypto hunt again.

Your decision is smart.
How to make more money? There's only one answer, and it's long time to hold the bitcoins. Grin

I thought you were vent because of the panic and depression caused by the current situation. no matter what you are going to do, crypto will keep growing even though the market is currently down. nothing can stop the bitcoin and crypto at this time. the correction is due to the rapid increase in 2017. so, I guess you will lose a lot of benefits and information after you leave it.

Don't panic dear, its fine if you have already some bitcoins and don't want to invest more or you have no more money then you need to hold your bitcoin and take break you will be fresh also. But during taking break you need to judge bitcoin graph so that you can't loss opportunity if price increased.

Me too, I'm thinking seriously to take a break after becoming obsessed with cryptocurrencies. Maybe i'm going for a trip to Asia or Africa and forget about internet for 1 or 2 months at least.
