Hi,

I am offering a service as a florist accepting bitcoin to send flowers to anyone, anywhere in the world.

You pay for the bouquet in BTC. We make the order on your behalf using VISA/Paypal or whatever payment method the local florist accepts.

Special 24/7 service for London
=====================
In London (within M25) we can personally deliver a bouquet at *any* time - including after working hours and overnight.
We also offer a Sunday flower delivery service.

Thank you for your time.
Please PM if you wish to order a bouquet.

What are the fees?
The main point about btc is to buy cheaper, but I don't see how you can be cheaper than us doing it ourselves.

Yes - you *can* just order it yourself - but hardly any florists accept Bitcoin atm.
I make a small profit on each transaction.

The benefit here is that you can spend your Bitcoin on flowers - rather than having to convert it to cash first.

Its the convenience of not having to use credit-card / debit card / PP etc.

Other than that - I do try and find the best possible deals - so there is a time saving too.

Not trying to be too negative but adding a % on top of a VISA/MC transaction just to use BTC is not a good model.

One of the most fundamental points about Bitcoin is to be cheaper as it doesn't need the "charge back insurance" that those payment systems require.

It doesn't seem very likely that anyone would be able to buy flowers *cheaper* through this service at all (so unless you're offering *anonymous* flower sending then there doesn't seem to be any reason for wanting to use such a service).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

Sure I appreciate where you are coming from.

The service is similar to the pizzaforcoins model.

Yes sure - you *can* buy direct - bit its kind of 'cool' to be able to purchase a pizza, or flowers or 'x' for Bitcoins.
I am sure that more and more florists will eventually offer Bitcoin as a payment method - but until then - it is (for some) a useful service.

If I don't make small profit - there is no point doing it. And remember that by accepting Bitcoin I am taking on the risk of currency fluctuations.

This can already be done instantly through gyft. They have FTD, 1-800-flowers, and others. The codes are delivered instantly and there are no fees (they buy a large amount of giftcards at a wholesale discount as the vendor doesnt have to worry about chargebacks and such). http://www.gyft.com/bitcoin.html

I am inside the M25 and will give the service a go if you like - whereabouts are you based in London?

Do you have an actual flower delivery business? Or do you just take the BTC then visit a website to order?

Interested in finding out more before I would order anything.

EDIT: Gyft not accepted by many UK retailers yet. Although does have Amazon...

Hi there,

I am an ex-florist. I used to have a shop in Mill Hill. Currently I am based near Farringdon.
So I know the business very well - and still have contacts.

I will be ordering the flowers from a quality florist located as close as possible to the recipient,
so that they arrive in a timely fashion and also easier to track.

I take your BTC and make the payment via VISA/PP on my side.

Let me know if you wish to proceed.

Many thanks

If you want to buy flowers online using Bitcoin, you can do so at my online florist at http://www.cheapflowers.com. I just started accepting Bitcoin yesterday, although my site is over 10 years old.

Your service would be valuable for cheaters and people who hire sex workers.  Many people would love to give flowers to their special secret lady, but would prefer not to divulge their credit card information / leave traces for an angry spouse or partner to find!
