On Thursday, Philippine blockchain technology company Appsolutely received about 2,000 NEM coins in its initial coin offering. The payment, worth about $2,000 at the time of the theft, came from one of numerous accounts across which the stolen coins have been dispersed. Whether the account holder has received ICO tokens in exchange for the payment is unconfirmed.

This is something interesting to watch if the ICO project which got the NEM will returned the same amount of coins to where it should belong. Though I love the idea of decentralization, we could never close our eyes to the existence of evil people who are always looking for ways and means to steal from other people or organization. Somewhere and somehow we should find some technology to stop these scammers and hackers from destroying the cryptocurrency market which many people have built through the years.
