🚨TETHER COMPETITION🚨

Founded by a former Google engineer and Stanford grad, TrustToken ($TUSD) has burst onto the scene.

TrueUSD is a USD-backed cryptocurrency with a fully collateralized underlying asset pool that's held in custody by partner banks.

In order to deposit or withdraw TUSD, TrustToken will use smart contracts to keep track of TrueUSD balances and ensure only those who've gone through the KYC process can make deposits or withdrawals.

This is extremely relevant at the moment with the constant Tether FUD that permeates the market.

Bittrex just announced that they have listed TUSD and markets will be open within the hour. With Bittrex showing their support, we have no reason to doubt that TUSD will be a real threat to Tether.

We fully expect Bittrex to soon allow trading against TUSD for ALTs as well.

Learn more about TrustToken here: http://trueusd.com

‼️ Reminder: Bittrex will remove number of coins on March 30th

We will be removing the wallets included in the list below on March 30, 2018. Once these wallets are removed, we will no longer be able to recover these coins. Users must withdrawal their coins before March 30, 2018, in order to keep them. The coins marked with an asterisk (*) have broken blockchains or wallets that will not allow withdrawals. In those cases, the inability to withdraw your balance is not due to the Bittrex Exchange platform, but is caused by a problem with the underlying blockchain or wallet associated with that coin.

🗞G20 & The Bitcoin Bounce📈

With market sentiment worsening as prices reached the $7200-$7400 range on Sunday, capitulation to ‘Bitcoin Bears’ was seeming inevitable.  We, however, can not help but draw parallels to the bounce we just witnessed to the one that was undergone in early February when Bitcoin prices reached sub $6k levels.

In the past two months, as our current bear market has progressed, there have been two defining moments where positive sentiment has returned to crypto after major governing bodies have made decisive statements against the need to regulate these emerging assets.

On February 6th, as we reported, the CFTC and SEC were represented in a Senate hearing, in which they ultimately expressed that they would not be pursuing further regulation of digital currency exchanges at this time.  This news alleviated the slide in prices that had been taking place up until that time.

In a very similar manner, but to a more decisive degree, great news was passed on from the G20 summit yesterday as they announced they are also not interested in pursuing further regulation of cryptocurrency and blockchain.

The G20 is an international forum of governments and central bank leaders from the most financially influential countries around the world. Their aim is to create policy that will provide international financial stability.  The letter published by the Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, who is the chair of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), stated that “The FSB’s initial assessment is that crypto-assets do not pose risks to global financial stability at this time.”

You can read the full report here: http://www.fsb.org/2018/03/fsb-chairs-letter-to-g20-finance-ministers-and-central-bank-governors/

Financially speaking, the G20 might be one of the single most important entities in the world for deciding direction and policy of world economies.

One can not question the gravitas of this news. With the 20 most powerful nations in terms of economic standing agreeing that no additional regulatory action against cryptocurrency is necessary at this time, as well as it having no risk to global financial stability, one cannot help but remain optimistic for the future of this space.

Tether Prints $300 million USDT, Will Crypto Market See Another Pump?

After a one-and-half month pause, Tether, is back to printing USDT tokens. The controversial project has printed out $300 million worth USDT tokens yesterday.

The network has long been controversial about the availability of tokens USDT funds. We all remember the audit history perfectly when it was announced that an audit would be conducted in the company, and then the relationship with the audit company was broken.

On January 23, Tether Ltd received a summons from the US Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Since then, the issue of USDT tokens has been suspended and until March 21 the number of tokens issued was zero.

Recall that until that moment within 8 months, the company released more than 2 billion USDT to the market. Almost every week, there were 100 million tokens, units, and in a few days of January 600 million.

The Dark Web’s Favorite Currency (Monero) Is Less Untraceable Than It Seems

As discerning dark web drug dealers and pseudonymous hackers have figured that Bitcoin is not magically private money, many have turned to Monero, a digital coin that promises a far higher degree of anonymity and untraceability baked into its design. But one group of researchers has found that Monero's privacy protections, while better than Bitcoin's, still aren’t the cloak of invisibility they might seem.

🐻There were a few negative news, and the most bearish were 'breaking' articles about a new wave of BTC sell off by Mt.Gox, but the info is based on some tweets and rumors, so it seems more like clickbait and FUD.

🐻Chile's state-owned bank BancoEstado has dumped three cryptocurrency exchange clients, leaving them without any access to traditional banking.

🐻Email distribution company MailChimp joined other internet corporations in attempt to restrict crypto-related content and will ban marketing campaigns for cryptocurrencies and ICOs starting next month, however, cryptocurrency-related information isn't necessarily prohibited, as long as the sender is not selling, trading, storing or marketing cryptos.

👉Cryptocurrency decree came into force in Belarus, legalizing crypto business activities, exchange services, ICOs and mining. The decree also includes tax reductions and      exemptions for crypto-related businesses for the next 5 years.

👉Liechtenstein is planning to release new regulations this summer to support blockchain.

👉China’s central bank states that the country is willing to support a global regulatory framework for cryptocurrency established by G20.

👉Bitfinex exchange is planning to move to Switzerland and it also announced new trading pairs that will enable deposits and withdrawals in Japanese Yen [JPY] and British Pound Sterling [GBP]. That is a big move, because a company is being constantly accused in committing fraud, so more transparency can reduce the amount of FUD.

Litecoin Dark Web Adoption Rises as Monero Privacy Flaw is Exposed.
The dark web has been pretty beneficial to different cryptocurrencies. It is how Bitcoin suddenly began gaining traction years ago. In the past twelve months, a few competing currencies have also begun gaining traction on the dark web. It seems this competition is heating up as we speak.

Monero and the Dark Web
In recent months, various dark web marketplaces have shifted away from Bitcoin. Its growing fees and lack of transparency are a big problem. As such, vendors and buyers are looking for new ways to effectively deal with payments. It seems Monero is gaining a lot of traction as of right now. It is a slow shift to this new currency, but things are seemingly falling into place.

Even so, there are some concerns over Monero’s privacy and anonymity as well. Two flaws have been discovered which may make dark web users look for a different cryptocurrency altogether. More specifically, a recent paper shows how the mixing aspect of Monero is flawed. Observes can identify some of the decoys and figure out the amount of coins being spent. This is a big problem, although its widespread repercussions have yet to be determined.

Secondly, we see the timing of transaction being addressed as another flaw. Although this flaw has been seemingly addressed, it was still a worrisome aspect. Previous timing analysis successfully identified the real coin transaction in 90% of the cases. Even so, there’s still a 45% of distinguishing the real coins from the mixins, which is far too high. Identifying transaction recipients is impossible, but it can highlight the initial sender.

The Rise of Litecoin
Rest assured the dark web community is too aware of all of these issues as well. As such, we may very well see a new currency emerges as the go-to solution. It seems Litecoin is making some inroads in this regard, which is rather surprising. Litecoin fundamentally lacks privacy and anonymity as well, similar to Bitcoin.

Even so, a lot of dark web users are convinced Litecoin can make a meaningful impact. 15.15% Of polled users seem to indicate LTC has a proper solution in this regard. This is far more overwhelming than Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash, albeit still behind Ethereum, Dash, and Monero. Surprisingly, it seems Litecoin represents 30% of transactions right now. This is a lot higher than any other non-Bitcoin currency being used on the dark web right now.

The big question is how all of this will play out. While Litecoin is gaining popularity, it remains to be seen how long this momentum lasts. Bitcoin is slowly on the way out on the dark web, that much is rather evident. This battle between Dash, Monero, and Litecoin is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
