Apologies if this is visible or been answered but I simply can't find info on campaign managers. My question was simply how does one get involved in something like that? I would like to help out and offer my services but I don't know where to begin. Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Smiley

You need to be demonstrably trustworthy, and usually be well known in the community.

Just look at all the main campaign managers, and learn by observation.

Okay and is there anyway to do this without doing trades on this website? I am a trustworthy person I just don't know how to prove that here. Besides I have observed some managers but I doubt they will tell me how this works Tongue.

Maybe offer your services for free for the first time, or at least for a drastically reduced price.

Get someone to hire you to manage a campaign. Honestly though, you're really going to struggle to do that. There's a lot of managers and wannabe managers now, and not many new campaigns starting (unless you count those scam ICO bounties).

Get someone to hire you to manage a campaign. Honestly though, you're really going to struggle to do that. There's a lot of managers and wannabe managers now, and not many new campaigns starting (unless you count those scam ICO bounties).

And that's the truth. I myself, someone who's barely starting out falls in the wannabe category and Darkstar_ falls in the real deal category. Does not necessarily mean that either of us are any less or more trustworthy than the other, its all about the number of campaigns we have successfully managed in the past.
Even if you get 1 campaign under your belt, getting the next one is considerably easier. However, you have to be transparent about everything and although its not a hard fast rule, but it helps if you are a long time forum member (2+ years) or a high-rank member (Hero+). But if you can get in touch with people behind a new bright ICO and if they trust you enough, you could get to manage their campaign. Its all about making the right connections, convincing them of your trustworthiness and knowing what you are doing.

PS: Everyone believes that they are trustworthy, it is down to your convincing skills on whether you can convince someone else of your honesty/trustworthiness. Start small work your way up. Good luck.

There is this one ICO that would like me to run their campaign, however things didn't go safely the person behind it is convincing me to run the campaign and would be paying me at the end of the month, I disagree from the term.

I honestly believe it is not about how you manage the campaign it is how it will execute with your presence.

In online service world, never agree to doing any work without payment first or escrow. Chances of getting ripped off are too damn high. Remember, most people hiring online are here because they were looking for a cheap alternative to getting someone from an agency. So that 'money saving' mentality is already there. No matter how big a name you work for.

Also, if the ICO/project is shit, no matter how reputable and efficient the manager is, they won't be able to save the Titanic.

Speaking from years of experience in managing projects, working as a freelancer and being in the cryptosphere since late 2012.

First you need experience but that would be difficult for first timer managers. I think you should make a portfolio for that and run a campaign for your service for your first time experience, or ask other great managers with all due respect.  Feel free to contact me if you need assistant.
