This is pretty bullish news for LTC on gox. That post just means they're checking items off their list, eventually leading up to the implementation of LTC. Beats me why they wouldn't want to implement it either, it would reap them huge profits.

Time to stock up on ltc boys.

It makes no sense to implement LTC prior to the new trading engine. Don't count on it.

It's coming either way, whether it's this month or 2 months from now. Right now is a good price to buy in.

Disagree. Price is where it is due to supporting of pumps by BTCe. It is over inflated and tons of noobs are waiting to cash out once it hits Gox.

Basic trading rule: if everyone buys hoping same thing will happen, it wont. In this case, for months traders been buying in anticipation of Gox IPO. Too many holding too many coins. I bet we see a typical "IPO" crash once it hits Gox, followed by a nice rocket of course.

THERE IS A REASON if the first thing ltc does is crash once it hits gox. Buy after that.

The price will probably be pumped heavily in anticipation of the launch on Gox. After the launch on Gox, the post-crash price won't be as low as the one it's going for right now, trust me. That's why litecoins are a great buy right now.

It already happened. LTC price reached 0.04 btc / ltc. Mt.gox is saying that they will accept LTC for months Smiley

That was before all the USD problems started.

On a side note, coinmkt.com opening this friday will allow for LTC trading and USD withdrawals. Might be something to look out for.

Actually, I'm not at all convinced LTC will rocket even after a crash. The only thing driving BTC price up on Gox is the inability to cash out, unless you take your btc to another exchange (and eat huge loss in doing so). How many places can you cash out LTC for USD? Almost none, other than sketchy, small or new exchanges. Certainly none that are FINCEN compliant.

Yea, little reason to buy ltc.

PPCoin and Primecoin are awesome (long term). Ltc and pretty much all scrypt coins are poorly conceived. Only purpose they serve is pump then dump. They'll be gone in a couple years.

I fathom a scenario whereby LTC will skyrocket on Gox, BTC suffers as a result thereof after which LTC will crash and burn, never to fully recover to the peak for a long time. Btc will recover quickly.

The only assignment is to play it well.

1. Have cash at Gox.
2. Keep your LTC ready.
3. Throw it all in LTC when it hits Gox.
4. Get out in time and go into BTC.

whether or not Litecoin goes to Gox, its only 2 years old.  Bitcoin price when it was 2 years old = ~30 cents.  Litecoin is here to stay!

Probably soon-ish. Gox has been working on it long enough. There's a rumor of a september 10th announcement going on.
