It's still recovering from the initial crash. There's not a reason for every single dip, you just gotta be patient.

If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if it crashes again this month. It takes time.

The fall of the whole market is due to the fact that bitcoin began a serious correction, after reaching $ 20,000 at the beginning of the futures. And now I think that this is due to many factors, but I think that this reason lies in the fact that bankers are trying to get our crypt for air.

shitloads of manipulation of bitcoin price and lots of dumps on the market in the past few days that caused the bitcoin price crash.

then like always, altcoins started dumping as soon as bitcoin price drop began. nobody can tell you why this connection between bitcoin and altcoin dumps exist but we all know it is this way and that is what matters. in fact you sometimes shouldn't be looking for reasons! instead know that it IS happening and if you can try to make the best out of the situation (like shorting or buying the bottom) or stay away from the market.

Lot's of FUD. However I'm confident the market will turn around soon or later and am not too worried. In the mean time I have just been putting new money into ICO's, these are a safer bet now IMO.

There are a lot of bad news in the pockets of whales. And they spread them immediately, at a time when the market is just beginning to grow. I hope they will soon run out of money and news. They have already acquired enough at low prices and allow the market to float freely. I, like many, need money. But I can not sell coins for three pennies.

Folks are becoming too aggressive vs cryptocurrency and ICOs. Can't blame them though, ICO scams have been pretty rampant lately. It's not a good sight.

I don't think there is any concrete reason than the FUD Created online that India government has banned cryptocurrency and some exchangers platforms has been closed down by the government! The minister has come out to deny this news but enemy of cryptocurrency go a head to publish many articles and tweet about this in other to create panic and many has fell victim by selling off their coins.

The main reason is insecurity in the markets. Couple of fake news, combine with couple negative real news and we have panic. Every time we have panic we have a dip.

The crypto market is becoming a whales heaven day after day . The amount of price manipulation is crazy especially low price alts . This mainstream media attention wasn't really that good after all . The big boys has joined the race and the regular investors and traders stand no chance against them .
Not sure how this is going to be fixed or changed but lets just hope they let us live a little.

I've read that most people who have been selling cryptocurrencies in the last 3 weeks are small investors, not whales and big players like banks. I will not sell my bitcoins because I bought them around 2000 and 3000 USD so I'm still in good profit. But people who came in late, in December or early January and they expected to get good returns in short period of time, they are disappointed now and don't have the patience so they want to stop their loss so they are selling now.
On the other hand, there is not enough brave investors who have the courage to buy BTC in this uncertain time. That's why the price is falling. When countries finally announce how they are going to regulate cryptocurrencies, the price will recover. I'm sure there will be no bans on Bitcoin exchanges, just smart regulation to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
