Hi,

There is a noticable freeze when using Electrum 1.8.1 on Mac OSX. The freeze occurs after launching electrum, and immediately attempting to switch mode (if you start in full, go lite - if you start lite, go full). Reproducable every time, usually have to quit the wallet and re-launch in order to see the mode I was attempting to enter.

OSX 10.8.4

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I know about this thing, but it doesn't happen on every OSX installation. What I do is to go to the menu bar and hit the About Electrum option and it switches.

I don't think Animazing can reproduce this problem as he develops the Lite GUI and hasn't seen it.

Thanks for the workaround, I'll try it when I'm back @ the OSX machine.

I guess if I have some free time, I can tackle it myself (since I can reproduce it... and am in dire need of a side project) Grin
