- In 2018, Paypal increased their base fee to about $2-5 (depending on variables like the amount sent, location of the persons involved in the transaction etc. ), so I prefer larger trades (over $300), as it costs me the same $2-5 whether I send you $25, $50 or $300

Sure, but escrow simply won't help you in this case, as Paypal can still be charged back. If you really want to use an escrow and pay him the fees, we can use one. Make sure to find one who has 50-100 Trust rating and is relatively known on bitcointalk (have recent active trades)

@BrHH2  - The amount is too low, mate ( 0.00280548 would be around $20 ). I'm looking for transactions of at least $100-200, otherwise I'd have to do dozens of them in order to spend the whole $1.3k left on Paypal.

@sarijaya4444 - I'm not using Paxful for two reasons: First is the fact that the premium fees there are CRAZY. I am NOT paying a 25% premium price, which was the lowest I've seen there for Paypal-BTC transactions, considering there are already much better deals here, on bitcointalk. Secondly, on Paxful I have 0 reputation, while here I am active for about 5 years, got 100% positive Trust rating and even dealt with one of the administrators of bitcointalk in the past. So, I have much more credibility and people interested to trade with me, under my conditions, with a better price here. Simple as that

I still recommend that you be careful. Even if PayPal is disputable and reversible, I suggest never sending first to zero-trust members. There seems to be a quick way to convert transferred PayPal funds to money or coins. I am still trying to find out how it’s done. I saw a few shady threads about BTC being sold for PayPal, undeterred by the reversibility issue.

Quickly withdrawing the money from the scammer’s PayPal account can’t be their way of doing it. It takes a few days for PayPal to actually execute the withdrawal process, during which time a dispute can stop it.

As soon as we agree about the exact amount of BTC that you can send, i check preev.com, check the amount (in USD) that you are supposed to send, then just copy/paste you the results, at a 1:1 rate ( BTC - USD ). We usually exchange 2-3 private messages before the trade, thus everyone's refreshing the page every 1-2 minutes and the whole transaction is done relatively fast. Of course, the ratio might change a little, but the variance is very low and once we agree on a ratio, we'll go with that one ( or not make the deal at all ). The ratio won't be changed once we agree upon a deal, otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the deal itself

If the BTC rises too much, I might not buy anymore. This is not a 24/7 service and I do not have unlimited funds, nor do I do arbitrage trading.

Why would I withdraw to my bank for fiat money since I want crypto ? The paypal fees + bank fees + local BTC exchange fees would be up to 10% of the total value, so it's simply more efficient for me to do it Paypal-BTC, as the fees are ranging from 1% to 4-5% this way. I saved quite a few hundred bucks (in fees) this way in a couple months.

@babylonKiss (and it applies for everyone else) - Back in the days, when F&F transactions were free on Paypal I could help you, but for quite a few months they've added a base fee for every transaction, which is 2$+, so that would mean I would lose about 10% every time I'd made a transaction for $20, even if the rate we trade at is 1:1. In conclusion, I can't do that simply because I have a better alternative locally, which would be both cheaper and faster.
For transactions that are $100+ I'll only lose about 2% in fees, which is actually quite OK compared to any other option, thus why I have a lower limit on every transaction.

I can do it, but I'm not willing to because of the fees. In order to send anything else than $USD, it costs me almost $5 in fees and then I lose some more in conversion fees ( from USD to EUR ), so overall I'm probably losing around 7-8% of the whole transaction. If I just do a $USD payment, it only costs me about $2 and no conversion fees, so that's only 1-2% overall fees. That's why I prefer not to deal with EUR or any other currencies, so I guess I have to refuse your offer. Good luck finding someone tho

@bigmaster23 - Thanks for the advice! However, most of the time I'm not bumping the thread, but rather posting updates and/or answering people. If I kept updating the same post, it would literally become way too big (since it would increase every time I would answer someone) for anyone to read.

Also, the thread is in this format since February 2018, so for almost 1 year, and I've literally traded thousands of dollars for BTC without any complaints (part of the transactions and feedback can be found under the "Trust" section ), which makes me believe the format of the thread is quite OK and it doesn't need any adjustments.

As I wrote in the notes, it's not really worth for me to trade low amounts because of the Paypal fees
"NOTES:
- In 2018, Paypal increased their base fee to about $2-5 (depending on variables like the amount sent, location of the persons involved in the transaction etc. ), so I prefer larger trades (over $300), as it costs me the same $2-5 whether I send you $25, $50 or $300"

So please find someone who's willing to trade smaller amounts, as I've seen there are quite a few users around willing to do under $50 trades. Good luck

I'm only sending $USD as that;s how i get paid by the companies that I'm working with and that's the only currency I have in my Paypal balance and can send as Friends & Family. You'll have to guesstimate or use google to check how much $AUD is compared to $USD. I've googled and they said 300 AUD = 203,04 $USD, but that's google's rate. Paypal will fuck you over a little and have a shittier rate, so you better get 310 or even 320 AUD, just to be 100% sure that, after conversion, you have over 300 AUD. So I guess that would mean around $210-$220 USD, which at the current preev.com rate is 0.02407 BTC (for $210 USD ) OR 0.02522 BTC ( for $220 USD )

Once again, if we were to transaction is $USD, we would know exactly how much you'd get, as I pay the fees anyway. So I would send $210 and you would receive $210. But since the Paypal will have to convert $USD to $AUD, neither of us can know for sure EXACTLY how much $AUD you will receive, as that's up to the Paypal conversion rate to determine.  Als written ebfore, just check preev.com, enter the $USD amount and it will tell you exactly how much BTC it is. Send that amount fo BTC to 1GAtRD57zLAeQmcRNmQmceCKTJLSMcPyDm  as instructed and as soon as the transaction has 2 confirmations on the blockchain, I'll send you the paypal $USD based on how much BTC you sent ( which Paypal will automatically convert to $AUD or ask you if you want to keep $USD or $AUD ).

In theory I could, but the truth is I'm not willing to. With the feedback, the dozens of successful transactions and all the years I have on the forum I'm in the position of taking little to no risk while doing trades. It doesn't make all too much sense for me, a user that's here for 7 YEARS to send first to a Newbie user that registered 3 days ago, even if I can actually charge back in case something goes wrong. It's simply wrong, even if it's possible to do

If you're willing to make the trade, send the BTC to the address that I've publicly posted, make sure to check preev.com and adjust the BTC you have to send if the rate is drastically changing and as soon as it has 2 confirmations on the blockchain, I'll send you the $USD on your Paypal address. If you can't do that, I can't help either. There are literally 5+ other users that are interested to buy BTC, so you might contact them as well and try to convince them to send the money first. I personally won't do it to a new user, despite all the safety nets that I have

Thanks for the offer. I usually do only transactions that are over $200-300 because I pay the same Paypal fee regardless of the amount that I pay you, so I prefer larger transactions. This also weeds out the new comers who usually only want to do one transaction from the veterans who I usually build a long term relationship so we can do multiple trades over the time. Also, I only buy BTC, not LTC or ETH at this point.

That being said, good luck finding someone who's willing to trade a lower amount. I'm pretty sure you'll eventually find someone to trade with ,as there are literally 4-5 others that are willing to trade any amount of BTC/altcoins for their Paypal money, so they will probably accept your offer

It simply doesn't make any sense to pay more than that and deal with random people, when I can safely buy it from a local exchange that's been around for years. I can confirm that, if your account has $USD balance, you will get exactly $400, as I pay the Paypal fee. If your account is in other currency like EUR or CAD, Paypal will give you the option to either convert it or keep it as $USD. If you convert it to another currency, then you'll end up with slightly less $USD because of the conversion rates.

Regarding the escrow, I'm not using escrow/middlemen as I consider I'm around for a sufficient amount of time ( more than 7 years) so you shouldn't have a trust issue. If you do have a trust issue, then I recommend you use a service like Gemini, that has all the papers and meet all the regulations even in US, where the regulators are very harsh. This way you will know, with a high degree of certainty, that the transaction will go well

Thanks for the offer, Bajank. However, I want to point out two aspects. I don't "buy and sell bitcoin here". I only BUY Bitcoin, never sell it. I'm accumulating, not speculating or trying to arbitrage it. Secondly, as written in my thread, I'm only sending $$$ through Paypal, not through other services. The good news is that, if you have a Paypal account, you should be able to withdraw the money I send to your local bank account.
