We should consider seeding the contents of the forum on torrent.
What do you reckon? Just as a precaution...

{ Imagine a sequence of bits generated from the first decimal place of the square roots of whole integers that are irrational numbers. If the decimal falls between 0 and 5, it's considered bit 0, and if it falls between 5 and 10, it's considered bit 1. This sequence from a simple integer count of contiguous irrationals and their logical decimal expansion of the first decimal place is called the 'main irrational stream.' Our goal is to design a physical and optical computing system system that can detect when this stream starts matching a specific pattern of a given size of bits. bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166760.0 } Satoshi did use a friend class in C++ and put a comment on the code saying: "This is why people hate C++".

No, I was thinking that he can be put down just like megaupload was Shocked
I know it is quite different but still would be a precaution.

Plenty of people already have encrypted backups of the forum, no need to create a torrent for it.  Plus do you want to update your torrent once a week anyways?

Maybe he means the OP would have to make a new torrent all the time.

A new torrent every year I suggest.

...but there's no imminent threat to bitcointalk, nor is there a reason to believe there will be an imminent threat. Why should we expend time and energy to prevent a threat that doesn't exist?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I disagree. theymos is getting closer to mating age, and might completely discard this whole thing once it happens.
This might look like a troll, but it isn't, nor is it a personal attack towards theymos, which I respect.
This is just a legit concern.

archive.org has "backups" as well, as do every major search engine.

Cool, let's just ask Google, the NSA or archive.org for the forum content, when theymos falls in love and goes mental. Cheesy

I'm sure they'll hand those over if you ask nicely.
