OK, this could be only a wet dream from me but I try to think positive. But again it came to my mind and I decided to write it down:

There are very few people who holds an enormous amount of bitcoins. Could it happen, if someone from them decide to share a percentage of their bitcoins to all other wallets that holds only a little amount to give all poor wallet-owners power at a specified time in the future when there's an urgent need for all of us (global financial breakdown or something similar)?

I think this dream will never happen, Because all people that invest their money in bitcoin only intended to get more money, so I think no one will ever donate bitcoin to those people who they don't know. Unless of course they are victims of typhoons or something. As of the moment, I don't know any reason for people who have a large amount of bitcoin to share their bitcoin to others.

? I don't see this happening. Sharing with someone who has only a few bitcoins in their wallet doesn't seem like enough incentive for the wealthy few. What about people who don't have any bitcoins? I'd give them bitcoins over someone who already has a little amount.

Maybe his dream is right. What if Satoshi held all those coins because at some point in the future (say at the 10 year point) he was going to send a small amount of all of his btc to the current users? Or he decided he was going to wait until bitcoin was losing support and create a sensation around bitcoin by posting that he would send all his holdings to businesses deciding to accept bitcoin. Wouldn’t that be cool. It’s too bad the only person we could ask about his plans is the only person to ever talk to him privately, Gavin Andersen. Andresen has proven himself to be totally unreliable as a source so I guess we won’t know until it happens.

I honestly cannot see that happening many have invested into bitcoin with the speculation it is going to make them rich. There are already ways where everyone could get some bitcoin if they wanted like faucets which are free and only cost time.

I would be shocked to see that happen but if it does wow that truly will be the most egaliatarian thing I have ever witnessed in my life and probably will ever witness. Wouldn't hold my breathe though because its a doggy dog world out there Tongue.

I too holding around .5 bitcoins now buddy. Really sad moment for me since I am looking to build my home. All the projects stopped inbetween because of the price fall in all the cryptocurrencies. As John Mcafee twitted i expect bitcoin to be touched 25k end of this year.
Don't look to cryptocurrencies compared with the fiat cash. Look coinmarketcap and rank the coins accordingly.

Likelihood is this will always be nothing more than a dream but we really cannot speak to the future and others actions. Some guy with many bitcoin may one day wake up and decide to share his wealth. It's entirely possible, just not all that likely. I wouldn't base your life decisions on this happening.

Tough luck, but to be honest it's going to be hard to expect someone to donate a large portion of their extremely huge investments for the betterment of mankind when an Economic situation arises. There was no one to help when the housing crisis happened in the U.S. The banks had to bailout and peoples tax money were utilized to save some banks. In the end the rich remained richer and the middle-class as well as the poor lost their retirement pensions.

Hence, If an early bird has struck gold, you shouldn't expect that individual to share even a small proportion of unless they have a big heart. I know of one such good example of an anonymous person who started a fund called the "Pineapple fund" and is currently donating a large portion of their crypto to various Charities. For more info check this -http://pineapplefund.org/

Hmm... but what would be if this was someone from the very very early beginning who invested only a very very few amount of his money into bitcoin and got back hundreds of billions? So he really didn't have much effort of earning and prior investing?

Yes, I know about the pineapple guy ;-)

In fact, that would push the price down proportionnaly to the amount big holders would give. That's like an airdrop, once an aidrop occurs on a coin, the price drops because there is more supply in circulation, but the market cap stay the same. Most people understand quickly this concept and to protect their investment, they sell directly once the airdrop happens.

So yeah, you would feel more rich in BTC, but BTC value would drop as well. Consider long term holded coins as lost, and lost coins tends to push the price up as they're not in the market and this makes the currency more rare.

Just imagine in real life, if you decide to give every months 1000$ freely to all people. At first, that's cool, but once retailers sees that buying power increased, they will push the price up as people can pay more. So you'll get more money, but everything will cost more. That's inflation.

Is it possible?  Yes.  Is it also impossible that a Nigerian Prince needs to transfer money and will give you a few million for the trouble.  While it is theoretically possible, really it's not.  Probably better to spend less time with this dream and find a few good lower cap coins (DeepOnion) and buy and hold during this market down turn.

I just checked out some of the most rich BTC addresses, but found out at the current day (02/05/2018) these investors really had much money even before they buy BTCs. One guy even tend to not have good investment strategies so it looks like more it's playing money only that he invested here just to be in this crypto-space. Sad.

I agreed with it without leaving aside a valid miracle. business is a business even if there are donate or charity that can be made only at a certain moment such as disaster or natural disaster.
the reality is so the more you are rich will be more your affection to your assets. then do not wait for you to do good because the best thing is to do it from ourselves.

You mean someone doing charity in Bitcoins. That is good but it should go to poor people who need it most.

Haha, nice to know for others Cheesy But I already bought some DeepOnion some time ago before I saw the other privacy coins that are much higher ranked, but this "send coins through TOR"-thing really gets me into that coin Cheesy

And I was different when I was dreaming about bitcoin who became a millionaire as though I was just getting my dream come true and hopefully true. Researching all things bitcoin thoroughly for the last two years has led me to come across several occurrences of articles referring to bitcoin as a “Libertarian wet-dream”. It is commonly referred to this way in several blogs, forums, computer technical websites and even some professional economic journals.

what made you think that wallets with small amounts of bitcoin are own by poor people? there is no reason to think on it, maybe is better to think that a huge % of bitcoiners are "good people"  and they will donate smalls amounts of bitcoins to known people who really need it, well, obviously if btc reach an "indecent" value, that way they will spread his love over the world, for them that small amount of bitcoins will be like nothing and for all those people will mark a difference on his life's Wink

IMHO #1.b of suspects, Hal Finney is/was S.N.

Let's just worry about getting back to 10k for now buddy and then you can have all the wet dreams you want . As impossible as it seems , I think if it's ever  going to happen it's because that individual gets caught doing illegal stuff and instead of the government getting hold of his assets. He goes rogue and throw his btc to mutiple random wallets .. Okay I'm gonna stop dreaming too ,Back to reality.
