I just learnt that there's a country named Cumbria.

Brainfart time!

What is the cost of the average fare? Is the driver/owner part of this community? Is is feasible to put a little fund together (I'm guessing about $50 USD worth, maybe less, maybe more) to put for some lucky person's transport for them? We can call it VBC (Virtual Bitcoin Cab), doing this once a week.

The weakest link in the entire idea is the honesty of the driver.

Ideally, it would be great if the cabbie learned during the course of conversation that the fare had a blog, is a sneezer, etc., then he/she would inform the rider that the fare was paid for with Bitcoin by a group of anonymous people on the internet. Also, it would be amazing if the person's action were filmed, but I guess we be stretching it there, but a brainfart nonetheless.

I'll be honored to put in the first $20 USD worth of BTC toward this idea. Anybody else could simply donate bitcents, or whatever.

I've got a cousin who lives in Cumbria. I will find out if she is close to this firm and see if she is up for being the first customer.

Country? its a part of England ffs.  And the weakest link is bitcoin.   Who wants to go out on the lash like the northerners like to do, than sit in a cab waiting for bitcoin confirmations.   face it, its a shit method of payment for day to day activities.
