I feel that most of the old bitcointalk members have already mastered the Art of Holding. Aren't you? Yes, I am talking to you SR. Member and above! Smiley

It is no secret that bitcoin gone through hell since its inception but the firm believers who HODL became wealthy in a tremendous way.

Hope those short line of words eases the pain to all the members here who emotionally suffer the most with the current price downfall of bitcoin and hopefully will also be a venue for the crypto pro to give encouragement to other members to continue hodling on.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Well, to be honest i feel little nervous, because when it falls, it falls really fast. And looking at the price right now hurts, specially like me who invested in mid Nov. But even in bad times, i didn't sell anything yet, i am holding tight, even though my 60% portfolio gone!

I think you are doing the right thing. I could not really speak on behalf of the old members here but I think most are holding and just never mind the price drop because it will rise again sooner or later.

The real losers right now are the ones who sell their coins at a greater less value than what they paid for when they purchased it. The holders are not losers unless the coins they are holding will die and in zero value.

I have been holding since 2015! Yes my portfolio has taken a big hit in recent weeks but overall I'm still up and continue to hold because I believe that the market will recover soon. Even the Dow Jones has taken a big hit so its not just the crypto market feeling the pain right now. Strong hands will hold while the weak will sell at a loss. When people panic they sell at a loss so that is why we must remain clam and continue to hold.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

At first its not easy to control your emotion cause you will feel bad after making a decision to invest early, but since I believe much on cryptocurrency and I study further about the history of price movements, I can say that holding on is really a good option for now. Everyone is on panic and those who have weak emotion already incur real loss, lets all stand on this circumstances and keep on supporting blockchain technology.

Interesting. What price point are you planning to sell your coins? It should be more than $19,783.06 because you haven't sold it even at the all-time high price.

With the price down to date I do not think it's a bad problem we see from the beginning bitcoin is created and the current price is still pretty high, and the old bitcoin users and their experience are just plain with this price reduction issue, because they've repeatedly experience it, and they have full confidence in the rise in bitcoin prices again, and they usually hold in the long run, and also for the altcoin they hold

Yes the early members HODL and newbies just sell their bitcoins in panic.I too believe in the bitcoin technology and have tried my best to save and hold my bitcoins despite FUD and market conditions.I have managed to save 0.75 BTC and i would never get panic and sell my bitcoin even if the price crashes or it gets banned in most countries.I hope that bitcoin deserves more price than its previous ATH.And also not only to hold during the price fall, but also to buy it.

I'm more of a fan of the "sell high buy low" adage that is used by most people. Especially when you can buy the equivalent of almost 3 full bitcoins for what one was worth just a few weeks ago. There's a lot more value in being able to triple your investment potential than gimping yourself permanently and trying to play games with the market by believing that it will rebound immediately.

t. Old-ass dude on the forum who has seen this too many times to try and ignore the reality.

I'm quiet new in the world of cryptocurrency but I have my experience investing on a stock market so I see this as a normal thing and no panic at all. This is a future, and I believe everything will be back to normal, HOLD on it folks.

I am a Sr. Member and I am hodling on to my Bitcoins. But here is the point: even before I became a Sr. Member I was already convinced of the potential of Bitcoin. In fact, when I entered bitcointalk.org I already have the belief that Bitcoin will soar to fantastic values that it may seem even impossible to think of. I mean, who would not be amazed with how Bitcoin's value appreciated so quickly? Those who are here that are not full-blooded believers of Bitcoin might flinch in the face of what's going on right now. I will not.

If Bitcoin and altcoins were not sold on the rise in December, there is no point in selling at the current prices. Honestly i don't know that everything when will be better, but i think it will rise again relying on the money's loop in financial markets.

The situation is now firmly held.

This is more need hold, even if it has fallen nearly 50%, don't panic!

Hang in there is hope!

I can't look at the price now! I'm going to watch it in March! Maybe it will surprise me!

How about this, just a suggestion, nothing fantasy.... SPEND IT AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO!
Put 10% of what you need every month for shopping in bitcoin and pay everywhere you can using bitcoin. Yes I did also pay some big fees in the past month and I am glad that high fees are over but spending 10% (not selling for fiat) will help rise the other 90% in your pocket.

You are not alone, I 60% done in portfolio. I had a chance to sell and make double profit, but I still don't have an understanding how the taxes work on cryptocurrency,so I didn't sell. I really need to put time on the side to study that.

As long as these fear porn doesn't pop up every where, you should be fine. I just feel these market are being manipulate to reach a certain price. I believe between 4000 and 6000 will be the limit for bitcoin. If it goes under then we have something to worry about.
