I also believe in the potential of this coin. It will surely be on top of the market this 2018. It is said to be the Bitcoin and Ethereum Killer because of the things that it can do which other coins cannot. It has very good technology and a very active developers. If you read this roadmap, you'll see that big changes and big projects will only be ready by the end of 2019, perhaps early 2020. By then it will be in the top 10. Of course, this got the potential to be one of the most popular cryptocurrency definitely a potential to be on top 10. but as to whether it can replace Bitcoin or Ethereum for that matter, I think the people behind the project have to work hard for more time before this can happen. Maybe in 10 years it can be able to clobbered down Bitcoin but by then we don't know if cryptocurrency will survive...it is finding it hard to flourish right now because banks refuse to work with this new industry. Well, as they always say, there is nothing impossible especially in the world of cryptocurrency...anything can go up and can go down as fast as lightning.

I will say one thing that a coin is suitable for going to the top alt, but to become the only one and unique it will be necessary for her to do something supernatural. So the years will show where the market will bring this coin with its potential.

Because the market still not stable. Cardano is a very nice coin and will be huge this year because of their upcoming project. I think this month their roadmap will be release. Fundametally they can't out performed Bitcoin but on the price on those two coins Bitcoin is still the King.

It is impossible in 2018 because already it will reach a top position in the market. But Bitcoin and Ethereum are more valuable than cardano so it is pump in the market. These three coins are decentralised cryptocurrency so how you should predict the potential of cryptocurrency. Everything should be decide in market capitalisation and project development but all are already developed in the market.

Before it could reach eth it must participate at least few great icos or get such popularity like btc. Now I cant remember any ada icos or such trading pairs like btc.

The availability for ICOs in Cardano is a future feature that will be implemented. I think there will be a huge momentum when that happens.

Doubt it. At this point it's not what the coin can do. There are many many coins that are far better than bitcoin. Bitcoin has the team, the infrastructure and the name recognition to keep it on top for a long time.

Once i had to travel 2 hours to get some simple information from a decent libarary.....none of the geniuses then, could imagine you could look things up and jirk off at the same time.
So what will ada be in a few years, impossible to predict.

Cardano will probably outperform Bitcoin in %, but it won't overtake BTC marketcap that is for certain. I am slowly adding more and more Cardano to my portfolio monthly and I can't wait to see this coin be the top.

After reading the roadmap and white paper, I can't believe I didn't hop on this coin as soon as possible.

Two things: one, volatility isn't anywhere near ending. And two, Cardano has good roadmap and are almost achieving their next milestone, but just as @jvdp said, market capitalisation is very important. And I would add that bitcoin has the advantage of early starting and has quite the mileage already... for Cardano to catch-up in such a short time frame, more efforts needs to be put into it and thats like working round the clock for the next half decade before they can have the attention of the masses and not worry about price inflation, volatility and regulations. Because their 3rd Gen identity makes people look with so much curiosity and anticipation.

BTC is currently 12+ times the value of ADA in daily trading volume.

So in prospect, ADA looks great on paper and the dev team are working hard to ensure it's a reality, but practically now and through 2018... the speculation would be faulty because of the wide range of factors.

Lately the entire crypto includes cardano experience the same decline. I don`t see cardano growth which is significant in recent times and I dare say "Cardano is unlikely to outperform Bitcoin", except NEO (Ethereum China).

I do not think that Cardano can now become a competitor to bitcoin in the following 1-2 years. Even though this project is ahead of many popular coins by technology, it does not have people's trust yet.
