Hi everyone,

I am new in the mining business. Hopefully, I did not enter at the worse time possible.

I just received my Baikal giant b last week, I manage to set it up and it worked for 3 days before it starts showing this sign  Huh Huh
No devices running

I looked everywhere in this forum for a solution but no luck, I tried emailing Baikal support and skyping, no luck too.

Here is a screenshot

Will updating the orange pi help?
I will appreciate any tips or suggestions
Thanks

You might be experiencing the same bug we've seen with other Baikals.

Check out our solution here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2875726.msg29764025

I used these codes after logging in to the terminal:

Code:
lsusb | grep 0483

Code:
su

Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data

Code:
echo 1 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data

Then it works

does this work also for baikal giant N?

when i do first code i get this > Bus 007 device 002: ID 0483:5740 STMicroelectronics STM32F407

then i get another > baikal@baikal:~$

then i put > su

password: ?

what the password?

password for me is "baikal"

after putting: echo 0 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data

the fan speed changes!

after putting: echo 1 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data

the fan speed is the same before.

and nothing is changed.

i tried  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2875726.msg29764025
but it doesn't change either.

i see 3 full red lights so the cards isn't broke or something?

Hi,

I have a new Baikal Giant B. This is my first ASIC miner. It doesn't do anything. Not even power on. I tested the psu. It's working. I got a 1200w platinum so it's supposed to work on the miner. However  it doesn't do anything. There isn't any light. Even the red, blue or green lights. There's nothing. I just tried to set up today. Both units, miner and psu, are brand new. I don't know if I missed plugging anything.

Set up is power switch on, psu on, psu cables connected to miner's pcie cables and ethernet cable also connected to miner and internet router. The cables are labelled for the psu. Psu 6 pin is labelled psu. Pcie 6 pin is labelled as pcie. I know the ASIC miner's cables are 2 to 1... 2 6pin x 3 plugged to miner and the other side to the psu cables.

Why should anyone but the manufacturer provide technical support for their product?

Baikal, Bitmain, etc., get away with this crap because: A) they aren't located in countries where the rule of law prevails; B) people keep buying their shitty products even though it is well known their warranties aren't worth shit and neither is their technical support.

Maybe Baikal will send you a coupon so you can buy 4 more miners for the price of 1. That seems to be their preferred method of dealing with warranty issues.
