Hey guys!
So I picked up a Gigabyte gtx 1080 windforce Oc2 in November 2017, and now I thought I could use it for some mining. Mostly I only play games (not all day of course), so I thought it would be profitable to mine while not playing. So basically I have a few questions:
1. How harmful this is to my GPU? I tried with NiceHash, checked the temps, and the GPU was getting hotter and hotter, over 70 celsius, and fans were really loud. Is it really okay if I leave it like this? I mean I don't want to fry my GPU out for a couple bucks.
2. First when I started NiceHash it said 504.56499 H/s, then it changed to MH/s and it was always 49-50 MH/s. Is that okay for a Single GTX 1080?
3. I know 2.55$ daily is not really a good amount to get/day, especially that GPU is on constant 100% usage. Are there any other cryptocurrencies that its much more worth mining than BTC? If so, what software should I use?
My full spec:
Gigabyte H81M-S2H motherboard i5 4460 Gigabyte Gtx 1080 windforce 2x 8gb DDR3 RAM SuperFlower 550W PSU 250gb Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1 TB HDD
Thanks for the answers in advance!
