It sounds like a took a leaf out of the anti-bitcoin phrase book from back in 2013. The irony of bankers attacking cryptocurrencies because of the risk involved is really quite remarkable, it's like their heads are so far up their own A$!es that they seem to forget all of the financial crashes that have occurred because of their decisions and the millions of peoples lives who were ruined as a consequence.

The whole environmental aspect is just virtue signalling and attempting to appeal to emotion since he has no argument against cryptocurrencies. The central bankers are scared of crypto since they can't control it and simply print more money or add more 0's to the end of bank accounts at will. However, we have to be careful of governments attempting to institute their own cryptocurrency and banning all other cryptos since it would give them a ledger of every single transaction anyone has ever made allowing them to tax everything at will. They could also easily completely cut off an individual's access to their own money and make it impossible for them to make purchases or participate in the economy.

I do agree that he looks like a pig on his pictures. If it is a ponzi scheme why is he not doing anything? Like filing a lawsuit to its developers? Here is another man who has a power that is blasting statements without even doing anything. A lot of people are benefiting from Bitcoin I don't know why he will count it as a ponzi as  we are not even trying to endorse Bitcoin to be bought by other persons. The statements in that article reek of fear, suspicion and maleficence of a powerful person who suddenly sees that the people he has been fooling for long are waking up to see his real face.

It says in the article that
1."cryptocurrencies could become "parasites" on the financial system", What he really means is that they have the ability to take away our monopoly on money and the subsequent unquestionable power wielded by us. Anything that tries to take it away is obviously a bad thing.

2."they must be held to the same standards as other banking and payment services", Thats like saying that I don't like this new kid running faster than me because he is lean and has less body fat. Load him with 400 pounds of animal fat and maybe then I can compete with him. LOL.

The bankers are still as confused as ever.  On one hand they say that Bitcoin is not a currency, it is not a financial instrument and on the other they want to hold it to the same "standards". Its truly amusing how bewildered the bankers have gotten on seeing the common people question their monopoly over transactions and storage of value. This is what makes bitcoin so awesome.

I would prefer to attack the message rather than the messenger because doing that would make you not better than you and even give him the superiority of rather coming with arguments to either confirm or debunk his own theory of how things are, you results to name calling.

Reading the article, he reached a conclusion based on several reasons among which include cost of mining, not meeting the basic definition of money and even went further to berate the Central Banks of not being independent enough to be trusted by the general populace. All of this are things we already know in the crypto world which I don't think should cause any sleeplessness or issue. He made an opinion which he is entitle to and he has exercise that right.

His physique shows that taking in a lot fiat makes you full (literally in his case) in quantity, but has zero nutritious value due to how fiat is losing purchasing power. These articles once again make you feel like a happy Bitcoin holder, especially because of the fact that we as holders move forward, while the rest of the average joe sheeps remain stuck in this on debt based system. I can't wait for the day where people are desperately looking to convert their shitty fiat into Bitcoin, but no one is willing to accept fiat because of how worthless it is.

I would not want to go into body shaming but this BIS chief needs to slow down on his size for his health sake. Meanwhile, on his opinion of cryptocurrencies, I think he is just being myopic and scared because the advent of cryptocurrencies challenges conventional banking and therefore his position of power.
