I want one!

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Sent TGC to 8/10 users...

List is: ATriz, gzuser, captainfuture, popolnman, coin@coin, rippleme, bobtlk

If I missed anyone my apologies....

Giveaway is ongoing! (I'm not always online though)

Thank you, got my first TigerCoins!

BTW is it still worth solomining with about 10GH/s?
Or pool is better now? Anyone still finding blocks solo?

When I did my mining it was definitely worth it, it's a good idea to pool mine now just because people may jump on this coin and then you'll have extreme variance.

You can solo mine until you start getting blocks every hour or so, then you can pool mine...

Either will probably get you a similar amount of coins (although pool mining will be much more consistent).

I will try solo for a bit then will join a pool, appreciate your advice!
Sorry to ask too many questions but which is the best pool at the moment?
Grin

Well, that is why the forums exist, questions!
I don't really know the answer, I only soloed this one.
You can try this pool https://coinex.pw/mining/pools/TGC

I want to also post this video of what I wish to be my future pet tiger (if I'm ever that lucky) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z8KLlCfzwc

My client refuses to sync with the network. It says there are no connections available, even after letting it sit for hours. I made the config file with addnodes, restarted the client, can't get it to work.

With new coins, it's always SOMETHING--there's always some reason I can't mine them early on.

use addnode in your config file and restart the client. Below are my peers where you can add their IPs:

Thanks for the pool advise. But hey that guy in the YouTube video... I mean the tiger is 1 year old, still small let's say, but they do have instincts and when that beast grows he'll better be careful cos he will not bleed a little he will bleed a lotto!  Cheesy

It's definitely not the safest pet, I'm in contact with baby aligators twice a week, 2-3 year old aligators are really safe to catch and tape their mouth.... I wouldn't want to do the same with the 5-6 year olds ++
I wonder if the same applies with the tiger, the main difference from the gators is that this tiger has reached at least 70% of its maximal weight, the composition won't change much and I doubt that (unless provoked) it would attack...the gators on the other hand still grow much larger as they age past the first few years.

I would treat a tiger the same as a macaw, macaws are friendly to humans but not domesticated. Some macaws are just less friendly to humans then others, I bet it is the same as any tiger. While a tiger may become accustomed to humans it is still wild (domesticated animals have been bred selectively for many generations and a lot of traits have been taken out) and dangerous.

I'm for tigers as pets because by creating a domesticated breed of tiger (while working hard to preserve tiger habitat out on the planet) we make sure that there always will be tigers. They also may be more intelligent companions and have further uses as service pets for blind/ deaf people.

It all boils down to I like cats, I'd love a bigger and more intelligent cat. Tigers are the biggest cats!

switchover happened at block 4001, it seems that it is a success. Now we are at block 4003, and there's no problem.

The random generation seems working fine, as I see in the log:

Quote
>> cseed = 1aa75e3, nHeight = 4001, rand = 11903
>> cseed = 53b3e14, nHeight = 4002, rand = 9857
>> cseed = 5406ce6, nHeight = 4003, rand = 13082
>> cseed = 6a6778a, nHeight = 4004, rand = 15

Now let's just wait the random number falls into specific zones and superblocks will be generated.

As a newbie I have to ask for an explanation.... That was a whole lot of transactions!

Block 4000 nothing special. Seems there's one transaction. Someone sent 77311 coins to this address: tC6A7LnpX7na35EQc21mczYN3hzKnbA4og.
The 77311 coins come from his mined coins + 70655 coins he received from another transaction in block 3678. Should be a big guy there  Grin
