My max hashrate for rx 480 strix mining ethereum is 29.3 mhs. That’s with the one click bois edit and a little under clocking/ under volting on core. My mem is at stock 2000. If I up mem it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Also have Samsung mem
Anyone else have a 480 strix and hashing over 29?

Other users able to hash over 30mh/s particularly in samsung mem, see this threads

You can try to increase the power limit bit by bit until stable condition. If full power limit gives you stable, go on that setting and restart your claymore.

I saw that thread before and read every comment. But no one with a strix says anything higher than 29 unless I missed something, so I’m wondering if it’s just the strix that can’t get over the 29 hump

Yeah, you probably missed this one from Wolf0

Does anyone got results higher than 28mh/s for rx 480 strix ?

I got 30.7 with 8gb samsung rx480 with bios edit and higher mem freq

It'll do well over 31 - I've got one of those with Samsung.

however I am not sure on timings he does.

If you have the 4GB then 29MHs is normal with your RX 480. You can try setting your memory clock higher however you will run into stability issues. You can also increase your core clock however you will need a higher voltage and you won't get much hash power gain.

If you got the 8GB then you can probably max out at 31-32MH/s with your RX 480. These ram chips generally allow much higher memory clock rate, way over 2000Mhz, up to 2100 or 2200Mhz or so.
