At this moment I think it is not a good time for ICO investments because the market is so volatile which makes it hard to earn profit from investing to ICOs. The markrt value of most ICO tokens are falling after the release in the exchangers. As such, investing after the crowdsale is more advisable. This uncertainty is innevitable so we just need to be patient.  Waiting for the market to first recover, would be a good decision.

I think now is not the best time to participate in the ICO for a short period,but long-term investments are still relevant even at such low rates.

I think if you want to invest in an ICO this days, you should choose the long term one, because the market is still ups and downs, so we never know if we can earn or loose if we put our money in a short term investment. Atleast in a long term you have the chance to recover.

The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

I think ICO is always the best choice if you analyze it carefully. Most investors just follow what other people do without any effort. This causes them to commit fraud and they also blame the legitimate ICO. That's in my opinion.

Yes, this year is a year of ICOs so you should find a good ICO to invest but remember stay away from the lending project (MLM ICOs). With the fallen of BCC, they're all turning into scam projects right now.

I think it's always a good time to invest in ICOs, they are cheap. they are upgraded and all you need is research.

In my opinion, Liven is a fine example, Ubex and Treon got a good hype as well. I'm sure this will help you in studying these. I go for projects like LVN, that has an already established platform, they are targeting many industries in the future but restaurants and food for now.
