Especially good quality whiskey and all that. Is there a website known for selling alcohol that accepts bitcoin? My family wants to know this as well.

Dude, using bitcoin to buy booze is something you regret when BTC goes to $1000 and you spent 0.5 on a bottle of booze.

Yes, it can be done. Go to Gyft.com and buy a gyft card with Bitcoin. You can use that card to purchase goods from dozens of retailers. Many of those sell alcohol.

Why don't you just convert it to fiat currency? It's the simple solution. Or find a person/ friend/ friend's friend interested in Bitcoin who could buy you some.

You can always pester your local bars to accept bitcoins...
Tell them they'll get tons of people and that they can use payment systems that turn the money directly into easily taxable USD...
They have honestly nothing to lose accepting bitcoins!

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Dude, using bitcoin to buy booze is something you regret when BTC goes to $1000 and you spent 0.5 on a bottle of booze. Bitcoin will never get to $1000 if nobody spends it. Remember the guy who spent 10,000 BTC on a pizza? Sure he's probably pretty bummed about the $1.5M he lost, but that single event is what caused people to realize that bitcoin could actually be spent on goods and services. Eventually Silk Road had the same effect, but on a larger scale. Could you just imagine both the price of Bitcoin, and the number of bitcoin users, if someone started a warehouse store (Costco, BJs, Sam's Club) that only accepted Bitcoin? If people could drive for 3 minutes and go buy a lawnmower, a 56" 4k TV, any food they can imagine, or a tank of gasoline, all using their "imaginary Internet money"? Bitcoin would grow exponentially (in value and popularity) overnight. I'm hoarding 0.5 BTC, and spending anything else I get.

i just imagined a trading platform where you could buy these neat local alcoholic gems that are so hard to get your hands on except during holidays. vodka from east europe and scandinavia, whiskeys from scotland and ireland, some nice absinth...southamerican rum...everything locally manufactured Some of this stuff costs a fortune after import and you only get the commercial overexpensive brands in big cities. sounds like a big market gap for SR

I would buy high quality Tequila with bitcoins. Where I live there is a government monopoly on alcohol and quality Tequila is very rare and overpriced. I shipped myself alcohol when travelling so I know it's working.

same problem here. it's ridiculous what dishwater is sold for 20-30 € in my city compared to local products. (some friend brought a local vodka from poland for less than 10€ and it was the best vodka i've ever tasted.) I also send some bottles to my place when i'm on holidays. A global network of local manufacturers selling via a trading platform would be really nice. Probably something like this already exists, haven't searched for it though. i really smell some business opportunity here

I've got some nice earphones from japan like that. otherwise that would have cost me nearly 80€ taxes.
