Guys, you're going about it all wrong. The problem is not what hardware he's using to host the Block Erupters. The problem is that Block Erupters are well known that it is next to impossible to earn back their investment cost, regardless of hosting hardware.
His Laptop is using 16W while mining. A Rpi with 1 Erupter might use 5W while mining. It's going to take a LONG time before the cost of the Rpi and the SD card earn their cost back in power savings.
My suggestion? Either sell the Block Erupter, or buy some more ASICs and run them all for the next 72 months, and we'll see where everything stands then.
