Cost of usb block erupter mining on a mini-notebook.

As shown in the pictures, the total power usage in 24h is 0,391kw/h, the price on a 0,17€kw/h is 0,06647€, for the moment is profitable but I dont think I will get back the cost of the block erupter.

you could fire the erupter without a Hard Drive. Try booting your os in a SD card or USB. In that way no motor is running and less heat also.

Look at all the rasperry pi options. For $35 and some change for accessories, you'll have a mini / low power computer able to mine using the USB erupters.

Guys, you're going about it all wrong. The problem is not what hardware he's using to host the Block Erupters. The problem is that Block Erupters are well known that it is next to impossible to earn back their investment cost, regardless of hosting hardware.

His Laptop is using 16W while mining. A Rpi with 1 Erupter might use 5W while mining. It's going to take a LONG time before the cost of the Rpi and the SD card earn their cost back in power savings.

My suggestion? Either sell the Block Erupter, or buy some more ASICs and run them all for the next 72 months, and we'll see where everything stands then.
