The definitive guide to understand what [the singular] is and why we should care about [the plural].

Dunno if that is right or wrong usage of singular and plural?

(Just a heads up or a request for clarification. it might be exactly right, but it makes some part of my syntax scanner go huh or hmm. Which distracted me enough from the page to send me right here to say so, since its better web-marketing to suck people into your page than to get them wondering about grammar or typos.)

Weirdly it took me until writing that before noticing maybe understanding might fit better than understand. I'd reword somehow if I wanted to save tthree keystrokes to use "understand" in a sentence instead of "understanding". (And the first rewrite that occurs to me would add words no not actually save keystrokes anyway.) (Obviously in practice by keystrokes I really mean how much the reader's eyes have to take in more than how much work the author had to pump in to get it right, though.)

EDIT: For general information: if a page isn't close enough to good English in general, I (typically, anyway) don't even bother pointing out the one little glitch that does jump out at me. So this post is actually a compliment. (Yes, I am left-handed. Smiley)
