I stopped mining as it is no more that profitable for 4-5 gpus. And it is obvious that the difficulty will definitely increase in coming days. So, i sold gpus and investing in coins.

I have planned to do but stopped with recent bitcoin dips and problem from Indian customs on s9 or any other miner import to india. I stay in Bangalore and electricity is not cheap here. I am now with bounty and other stuffs to earn bitcoins.

Could you share with us the status of the ROI. Which year did you started and how much investment have you made overall and how much return or you are able to generate btc per month at present. Is it still worth for people who want to start mining from now?

If you are really planning to get into mining on a large scale, then I would suggest you to wait for new Generation of GPUs/Mining GPUs/ASICs. Because with current rates of Cards and current value of coins, ROI is more than 1 year.
So think accordingly.

The current mining profit is pretty low and many people are either getting out or are pausing for a while. The current low is just cause of the panic causing by price dip. But not to worry if u are willing to mine a new coin with good future and are willing to hold on it. As the trend, the price will again go up in Q4 and at that time if u will be holding a good coin, you will for sure make huge profits. if u need quick cash, I would not suggest mining cause at current rate u cant make even 100 ruppees a day with a card as good as 1080. Setting price of electricity apart u will be left with as low as 50.


If u want to get into mining and dont have any cards, wait for a while for the market to settle. Cause the cards are restocking and prices are getting low again. If u already own a card. Search bitcointalk altcoin discussion forum for new coins that has good reviews but still isnt in spotlight. Right now am mining RVN and LUX cause they are still not known by majority and has lower diff. Upside, they seem to have good future. Remember alternating between differnet crypto currencies while mining new coin so that if one comes out to be fraud or completely disappears from market, U still can be holding others which can give u good return in near future. Key is to mine and hold. Dont go for instant cashout.

Perfect advise. Besides this if you can understand the trading.... much better place to start with. But again it's all up to you... trading or mining? both have pros and cons.
