There is not much that you can do. The only way to catch a hacker is to watch his addresses and when he send your coins to some exchange and you contact the exchange before he withdraw, you can lock his account and prove to the exchange that those funds are yours.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

So everything is in the title.
What can you do when you have been scammed ? what are your possibilities to recover your funds, I mean here in the community, excepting going and report to the police.
What I would recommend for you is stay away from newbie seller if
there's not an escrow available, use active trusted seller on this forum to get
your service or goods done deals successfully, you can also find help here at
the Scam Accusations thread

Recovering the funds isn't going to happen, or at least, it is very VERY unlikely to happen regardless of the situation. Once the funds leave your wallet you would need access to their private keys or seed phrase to recover it from theirs. Not even law enforcement would be able to obtain that without their permission, unless they're completely stupid.

Well I think you just have to accept it and move on. Acts related to scam should already be on the users' mind and they should be awared of that in order for them to avoid such thing to happen. Everything is anonymous with cryptos since everything is virtual. If you were already been into this situation, just move on and learn from it in order to avoid this thing to again happen.

Well, being that crypto is still a highly unregulated market, there's no choice but to accept and start cutting your're loses.
We should try to learn from our mistakes, or short comings. Remember to try and practice your due diligence for every pontential investment. The best thing to due is study the scene, learn the ends and the outs of investing.

Investopedia is a vast tool for learning how to invest. I believe they even have a market simulator game.

Your only hope to get back the scammed money is either to convince FBI, NSA and other powerful agencies to really try to solve your case, or to have the telephone number of the scammers and propose them a deal. In all other cases, forget about it.

It is hard to do something in the internet if you don't know the person who spam of you. A lot of spams happened in the last few years but only a little of them been catched.
If I was cheated, I would probably let go. No way to get our money back once lost on the internet. No one can intervene in losing our money. So be careful over the top.

I think you cant do anything when you have been scammed, you cant recover your funds. Internet is very complex, if you click a wrong tab then probably there will be sonething wrong and you cant correct it, just like in bitcoin wallet. I suggest that, create a new one then, be responsible and knowledgeable about the environment.

You cant refund your money when you have been scammed. The only way you can do is to let it go and create a new account. When you create a new account make sure that you will be responsible and secure your account.

If I don't have any legal leverage on the scammer, then I won't be able to do anything, unfortunately
I agree since we are not known here and we dont have any information that was true from that person, we cant do anything. Just like what happened to me before, when I got scammed what I do was pray for that person, why did I do that? Because thats the only thing I can do to bless them even on what he was done to me and I know he needs that money. And aside from that I cant do anything to recover it more.

The best thing we can do is reporting to the admin of this community on scam accusation section,
so that peoples other than us not get scam as well. tough we cannot take our money back, but it is good for community to report it.

To expose people to the behavior of fraudsters, fraudsters should be known and locked by people to prevent more people from being deceived. Always be cautious. Never respond to emotions.

There is not much you can do about it. The fact that cryptocurrencies are decentralized implies that these are not backed by any authority. These are not recognized as a legal tender by many countries. So if you are also in one such country you cannot seek any legal help. All you can do is learn from your mistakes, be careful and never fall prey to such scams.

I think there's no way to retrieve the lost funds, because in this community every transactions made by addresses and name and profiles we're not included.Everything here was anonymous so if we become a victim of scammers no matter how vigilant we are if they will victimize us there nothing we can do.Today people just wanted to owned easy money and don't dare to make money by their own efforts, then most probably they can create more victims most especially that we are in a forum that tend to be anonymous.

Well the thing is, there is nothing you can really do, except if you are scammed by members here in bitointalk, you can actually complain in the meta section. But if you are scammed aside from that, even if you are scammed by ICOs, there is nothing you can really do but move on and charge your loss to experience.

Scammers are extremely existing and getting increasingly. To avoid being scammed you need to do this: Keep your account and personal details secure, and also your mobile device and computer, choose your password carefully and review your privacy and security settings in all social media crypto account.

Well its really hard for me to do something since its in the internet and tracing someone would require much effor and some knowledge about tracing. Tracing ip address of someone is really hard since most scammers and hackers are using vpn to alter their ip address. If im gonna get scammed then I would just accept it because i believe in karma and maybe I will get more than just what I have lost. You will really have to think of the positive side in order for you to start again.
