Is there a place for us to receive merits?

I know most of you are aware of the merit system. The newly system implemented in this forum which will make us more competitive than others using our brains to make quality posts. I just noticed why is there a place for receiving of merits. In the last days I've observed, I saw a lot of topics in bitcoin discussion and economy that are more constructive and they are not receiving some merits based on what they have post. I just concluded that merit points give only in the Meta and Serious discussion. And as a summary, I think that bitcoin discussion, economy and alternative cryptocurrency are for bounty hunters only. So making post their seems like no one did not acknowledge. However, Meta and other serious discussion about the forum received some merit points because the threads in meta or other serious discussion in not be paid and they are for the wellness of the forum. I just hoping that take a look at the bitcoin discussion and economy are not shitposting. Some of us are using minds in creating posts or new thread.

You have gathered an incomplete data set.

Analyze the merit system for at least a month or so before you make conclusions.  I can already tell you based on my actions that you are wrong.  :/

Merit system was made to give credits to those people who have constructive posts. So we need to work hard and make sure that are posts are beneficial to the readers.
But, yes there are some people here who give merits... Go to Marketplace, then Services.. then you will see posts there entitled merit review... You can post links of your previous post there, then it will be screened or reviewed. If your posts are constructive and very informative, you may receive a merit.

I don't look on the frog pond ( Bitcoin discussion ) board very often. The threads are mainly about the same old topics about replacing banks, the price going up or down, China, Russia, does your dog like Bitcoin etc. The replies are usually the same old coments recycled as well. If it was kept clean, then it would be easier to find good posts, but at the moment, it seems to be quite a lot of work looking through the threads.

Few numbers of thread in bitcoin discussion that recieved merits and I think that some of the people are hessitating to give some merits. I am not an activist with the system but I am hoping that the merits will give credits to any person that is deserving to have merits. I just observing that most of the merits are in meta only. Hopefully, I am wrong.

No matter how hard we try to not shitpost, getting merits is still completely random depending on the high level member if he feels generous to click that +merit button or not.

With your current post history, not even the most generous member will give you merits
You can get merit if someone are blind enough to accidentally gave you a merit.

Put a link here to a post made in either Bitcoin Discussions or Economy that you think deserve a merit, I'll review it and see whether those posts deserve a merit or not.
If the replies are made in spam megathread, you can forget it.

Learn russian or turkish and go to their local language board and post there, since most of the high merited posts are there. 

apart from that, ANN threads and meta are the second ones, but mostly people still aren't used to it.

Do not come to conclusions so easily. At the time of writing this post, there are many posts in "bitcoin discussion and economy" that got lot of merit points. You can make a quick glance here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats and decide on your own. Please do not spread rumors as it affects the new comers as well.

Also, in case if you feel that a particular section is getting more attention from members, then just make quality posts there. i think we have enough queries being raised in all sections.

Rules are rules, just follow it if you want to earn your first merit.  Most of the hero & legend members could just gave their merits to other members. Because most of it catch the attention of the members that is why everybody post should have sense to earn it.

Yes,I've also seen that most of the merits are given in Meta section. It's not impossible to get some merits in other places, but it is quite hard. For example, I've created a topic which took me quite a lot of time and is quite active, but received just a 3 merits so far: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2869616.msg29470370#msg29470370
