Singapore's Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said the country's government will "not ban" cryptocurrency.
In Asia, Japan and Singapore are the best markets for cryptocurrency and blockchain in recent years. In China, Vietnam, Indonesia banned bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market, Singapore was very active in developing Blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.

Tharman Shanmugaratnam, deputy prime minister and minister in charge of the governing body of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), confirmed an agreement in the absence of the rules of cryptocurrency to acute. MAS has made strenuous progress and the potential loss they face. Until now, there is no strong case to ban the cryptocurrency trade here, "the deputy PM said. But we will still give action to those involved as our anti money laundering rules. And we will continue to give Singaporeans that they can tear down money when they invest in cryptocurrency. "

Singapore and Japan are going to lead the way for crypto in East Asia. If China decides to crack down too hard then they will get left behind. Singapore has always been well managed as a country attracting a lot of good companies there. Soon crypto companies will move there as well.

This is a smart move for Singapore, not being too carried away by the banning trend as they can see a huge economical potential with Bitcoin and the blockchain technology. Most of the countries who agreed to ban Bitcoin has one common reason , to avoid money laundering and the potential criminal activities.
There is no argue with that they will really be the country who will first become successful because of cryptocurrencies, I knew it because they love bitcoin and they are embracing all about it  unlike in some counties where in they don't give chance first, they just giving decision all the way.
Yeah like Singapore and Japan these are the nation's who don't stop innovating for the future of their nation that is why  their economy becomes so powerful because they embrace change they always think out of the  box they embrace bitcoin because they think it has a good future.

Singapore hasn't actually embraced anything. On top of that, they don't come even close to what Japan has been doing on all legal grounds concerning crypto. As long as Singapore doesn't actually come over similarly to what Japan did last year, I'm not really putting any faith into the situation there. The problem is that you can't just assume anything when it comes to countries looking open minded right now, but still lack the regulatory framework to sustain crypto in more ways than one. On top of that, not even China has actually banned crypto currencies -- they just got rid of everything around it so people have no legal way to enter or exit the market. It's a smart way of achieving what they want, but without making a fool of themselves because you can't ban crypto itself, so they don't.

There is another way of looking in to it. Singapore and Japan are two nations, where the tax evasion rates are extremely low. And the national currencies are also quite strong and they don't face much competition from Bitcoin. The same can't be said about the developing nations such as India, China, Indonesia, Pakistan.etc.

In essence, the country can really understand and deepen many things related to the technology in it to successfully control the potential risks. This looks more direct the crypto/bitcoin in a more build direction and can be used as a country's progress in terms of business and etc.
So yeah the nature and scale of cryptocurrency trade in this country doesn't pose a risk to the safety and integrity of the financial system.

the relationship between cryptocurrency trade and Singapore's financial system is also insignificant today. The Singapore banking system has no significant relationship to global and local entities that handle cryptocurrency.

As of the moment it has really know significant relationship with each other, but what' s important for me now is that Singapore will not ban bitcoin no matter what, that they are considering to have it like what Japan is doing right now.

Singapore has been smart when its about to profitable things and businesses even they are a very small country.

And this is one of the countries that I want to visit one day but going back to the topic, they are following the trend of other countries who are adopting bitcoin which is good.

Don't just believe anything as I have known too that in Singapore they are considering bitcoin, you are right they are also in favor of having cryptocurrency, and they are studying things about it, glad to have Japan and Singapore in crypto world.
This is what I'm talking, progressive countries are into crypto's now.

Singapore really amazed me because of this article. I feel a little envy because my country is very slow when it comes to technology while these two progressive countries are already operating one step ahead.

Actually Singapore and Japan are countries that thinking out  of the box meaning they are open on new innovation because bitcoin of most innovative and new principle of currency and they think it is more advantageous in term of technology, that is why this country  are progressive because they  never stop innovating for  the good of their country.

It would not make sense for a trading country like Singapore to ban Bitcoin. I think East Asian countries are tolerant to crypto moneys. Yes Bitcoin is a money, everywhere where money is available there is a chance of profit. Some countries lead Bitcoin very well, leading to something uncontrollable.

Singapore has been a country setting example in many things to other countries. In its cleanliness, responsibility in ruling, treating its citizens, infrastructures and etc, Singapore is spoken out everywhere. Now it is open to adapt crypto currencies. Countries who deny accepting crypto should learn from them. Singapore is going to increase its wealth, name and fame with crypto besides they being always on top of everything. I wish every asian country should start adapting crypto currencies.

There are conflicting news from different parts of Asia when it comes to accepting the bitcoin market, countries like Japan and Singapore have taken a positive approach while China is against it for the moment, one thing these countries have to understand is that smart minds will move out from that country and settle else where if they do not accept innovation and technology and will be the ones to suffer in the future.

Really this is a very good news that Singapore will not ban cryptocurrency. Because nowadays many countries banned cryptocurrency, in this stage one country announced that it will not ban means other countries also have to look on this changes. Due to this there is a lot of changes will come in other countries also. Now this country is very smat in activating blockchain technology in the cryptocurrency world. Singapore country is a good example to other countries in using cryptocurrency.

Country singapore does not prohibit crypto, I come from indonesia, in indonesia crypto is not required as a place to look for something that can make money. But in indonesia the sale and purchase of bitcoin is still taxable.
I think neutral Indonesia will be bitcoin and crypto
