Aethia is a Ethereum Blockchain game about raising pets called Ethergotchis in a role-playing fantasy world! It is similar to Cryptokitties with a mix of Pokemon and Tamagotchi.
Currently the game is under development but are for registrations at the moment. What you can do is claim a free Alpha egg as shown in the picture below, there are 30 eggs released every 6 hours. You have to use their smart contract by sending a 0 ETH transaction.
In addition to the free Alpha egg, you also receive a “Referral egg” which is also showcased in the picture below. On your profile page, there is a referral link, which you can share with friends and family. When they use your link to sign up you upgrade your egg!
Timeline
February 2nd — February 9th:
This is the pre-alpha, early adopters have the chance to acquire a free egg using the aforementioned smart contract, which makes sure that each address can only get one free egg!
Another way to obtain an egg is to refer the game to friends, you get one egg which you upgrade based on how many people you refer!
February 19th — March 19th:
First Alpha stage, you can start interacting with your newly acquired egg, there are six required actions for the egg to hatch which defines behavior on the pet coming out of the egg!
The Ethergotchi has 3 phases:
Egg
Child
Mature
Each creature will have five attributes:
Stamina
Charisma
Dexterity
Intellect
Strength
When the egg hatches, you can start feeding it and training it. Your pet will be able to perform different tasks such as:
Breeding
Teaching
World Architecting
The team is also thinking to implement a system that makes it possible for the Ethergotchi to reincarnate after their mature phase, after which they retain/increase their attributes!
Players will receive “CHI” tokens on a daily basis, which can be used in various shops inside of Aethia.
An auction house type system will be available for buying and selling pets, which is similar to buying and selling CryptoKitties. The pets will be valued based on its various attributes, career path as well as social standing!
