Hi,

I am trying to find a company / Bounty Hunter to recover some BTC I had stolen.

Has anyone had any dealing with    www.darkwebsolutions.com  Huh?

I have been in contact with them and they are confident that they can get my BTC back, however they want $500 up front.

Naturally I am suspicious. Why not just include it in the 10% fee they take from the amount recovered.

Any help or alternative suggestions most welcome.

Looks like a scam to me.
They are using a free nulled wordpress(http://www.darkwebsolutions.com/wp-admin) theme (Sydney V 1.43).
Probably it's a teen trying to swindle people.
AVOID!

If you want to run a bounty then this forum is the best place!

Find a trusted escrow, and ask him to run the bounty for you.
Or you can just ask a free escrow to hold the funds, and run the bounty on your own.Post on the service section about your bounty, with details(Screenshots, transactions, addresses, etcetra).

Either way, there is near to 0% chance of getting scammed.Good luck!

Don't fall for this trap, confident that they can get back your bitcoin? How? What process?

You know that bitcoin address has no name right? If the one who stole your bitcoin used a mixing services then I doubt that you can recover it. Although there is blockchain analysis, criminals is one step further, they are not that dumb to just expose themselves in plain sight.

So I advice you to not pay them upfront and do their thing and just tell them to include it to the 10% fee. I'm not sure though if they are trusted on the first place.

How much did you lost though?

Sounds like a scam similar to those that say pay us a fee and you are guaranteed a loan - then no loan materialises.

I'd stay clear OP.

Grin Grin Grin Grin whats the reasoning that they gave you when i assumed you asked them why they needed money up front since they were certain the could recover the coins? usually when service operators request a payment for something in the line of recovery it simply a scam . why the need to collect monies upfront why would they not request a percentage of the recovered coins. This one has scam written all over it .

Bitcoin you had stolen and now is gone. seems to be a good thing to read.

well about the money upfront, its a scam!! if they will recover your bitcoin, why do they need upfront? they will still have your bitcoin right and that is more valuable than 500 USD. back off to them and live safe.

Be careful now scam projects are everywhere, you do not believe it, unless they want to deal with you using escrow. It will not do you any good to ask them. Why they should ask to pay in advance, and not just cut a few percent of your results. I think if you continue to cooperate with them, you will lose big ..

WOW!!!

A big thank you to everyone who has commented.

Yes, i was 99.9 sure it was a scam. here is what they said when I questioned them about it.

Hello Martin,

"We have all the information needed to recover your bitcoin. Considering the volume of hack request we get on a daily basis, hack requests are queued and we also have to ensure that we are dealing with serious people.

We would trace the transaction from your wallet through all verifications on the blockchain and within 24 hours we will get the job done. However, we would require that you pay a commitment fee of $500 which is a baseline fee for Bitcoin recovery of over 1 BTC"

So, the amount stolen was 8 BTC from Binance Sad   (Unsurprisingly they didn't want to know)

Several Alt coins were converted in to 8 BTC and vanished right before my eyes. The whole process was over in about 5 seconds, so I suspect a BOT was on the loose.

I will investigate the ESCROW option mentioned and hope for the best. As we are talking several thousand £'s it got to be worth a try, even though the odds are low.

It could be worth a few thousand to a Bounty Hunter if they are successful.

I have the times and the final withdrawel transaction Hash number,    Will I need to get anything else??

Usually, if your coins already stolen then there is no way to get it back except you can track through each transaction and when you already know who stole your coins you ask him to refund it.

I don't think your stolen bitcoin could still be recovered. It could be traced definitely but recovered its a doubt. It's not worth it to pay 500 bucks for something that is too dubious. Don't fall for that scam and just lose your money again. My suggestion is that you can move forward from your stolen btc and start over again. Charge this one to experience.

If they can get your BTC back, they can get the BTC of all other people.
Let use your brain.

$500 upfront is not good they can easily run because they are not a popular company unless it is recommended by a trusted member of this forum, why not open a thread in the service section so people will vie for the best service.

It is quite sad that we are living in a very dishonest world. Can you just imagine...you have been a victim and there are people who are trying to use your situation to make you another victim again. This is using a desperate situation so they can victimize other people. What a shame! That is why we really have to be careful and the fact that you are asking members of this forum is a good decision on your part. Knowledge is always power!

this is one of the biggest risks of bitcoin, when bitcoin is lost no one is responsible. this will be difficult because for us how much bitcoin we have, it is worth it. then when we lose bitcoin, we will report to whom? no one will want to deal with the case.

$500 in bitcoin, up front, with anything is a scam. Guaranteed 99.9%. If you meet these people irl it might be more legit, but that doesn't really mean anything either. Don't give them anything up front. If they won't do it, offer to use an escrow. If they don't agree to that, fuck em.
