As discussed before here: http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189.0
But since that thread has died and no one really got any wiser of it, I'm creating a poll.

Holding IRC meetings would be quite handy in discussing, maybe an hour or so per meeting?
Anyone wishing to speak would just drop me a message.

So, what would be a good time to hold the meetings?
Do not forget to note your timezone! Tongue

Edit: People, please post a time which is convenient for you.
It helps a lot knowing when people are available.

Caffeinism -- a toxic condition caused by excessive ingestion of coffee and other caffeine-containing beverage.
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I'm available any time between about 12pm and 3am EST (UTC-5 (or -4 right now for daylight savings)). I think this would be a great idea, especially if we can get Satoshi onboard.

That's when I sleep!  Meeting whenever is most convenient for Satoshi makes sense to me.

How often do you get the chance to work on a potentially world-changing project?

I'd volunteer to manage a bot that logs the sessions and puts them online, just tell me which network and what channel ^^

Me too. I'm new to Bitcoin and I would love to hear what people think in a meeting format.

Is anyone else having trouble with webchat.freenode.net when using Chrome? I had no problems for 2 months, now the captcha does not appear. It works fine in Firefox.

Chrome 6? Try to sync your personal data and settings,
then uninstall Google Chrome and remove all userdata...
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\
After that install last version - and sync userdata back.
PS. Make a backup of your userdata before removing it.

I do not believe so.  I rarely see Xunie around anymore, and I have never seen satoshi.  What kind of meetings would be useful?

Thanks.

It started working on it's own though. After about 3 days.

I know this isn't a Bitcoin meeting, but it's Bitcoin-related so excuse me if it's wrong of me to plug this here.

Our group is having a public meeting tonight (Thursday 16),

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2262.0

#pokerface on freenode

Our project has been generating lots of interest on other non-bitcoin sites:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/rake-free-open-poker-room-run-poker-community-938389/
http://www.liquidpoker.net/poker-forum/940985/Rake-Free__amp;_Ran_By_the_Poker_C...html

Would be nice to have people from the Bitcoin community there.
