I am planning to start an online store.Where I will be selling anime accessories :v
I am confused about whether to accept cryptos or not.I can easily make the payment gateway, I have implemented cryptos at payment gateway for many clients.Unfortunately all of them are from west.
In India, do people really pay via cryptos?
Is there anyone here who owns a small online store and accepts bitcoins? Is it worth the hassle? What do you say?

I want to keep the payment gateway plain and simple. Probably I will accept just fiat.

This is a brilliant idea.. people will definitly use crypto directly for payment to buy a product. This will not only allow them to minimise the deductions from transection fee but also give them opportunity to get product quickly from their investments..
And i believe you should focus on products that are loved by tech geeks.. as currently most cryptouser are more technology concerntrated peoples only.

First of all its a great idea if you accept bitcoins , there are lot of people who want to spent money in crypto not All .
Secondly read the government rules about legalization of bitcoins

I respect your tech know how but are we ready for crypto payments due to its high volatility in prices.
2nd thing i want to share that Reserve Bank of India said that it will not allow cryptos in its system
Where rbi said it ? Kindly provide proof as per i know crypto can be used on own risk and pay capital gain tax on it and do not use debit/credit card in international exchange.
Idea is nice of accepting crypto but as you know our country is undergoing changes so it better if you stick to digital money not virtual currency.

I don't care what the government says, if I want to then I will Smiley And I am pretty sure most of the buyers won't be from India(bcos of low anime fan base and poverty).

The fees look low now, so is anyone paying in cryptos now?

We have already decided the things we are going to sell hehe  And some of them are even getting printed right now.
We aren't much concerned about attracting cryptos user's, because they will buy our stuff only if they are into animes.

As Jaitely sir said, bitcoin is not a legal tender in India so accepting payment in it won't be a good idea till clarification and regulation because how will you show those in your taxes

My business won't make that much that I would need to pay taxes.Even if, by any chance, we make a lot of money then we will go under the start up umbrella.Where we will be exempted from taxes till 2019 Smiley

It's not about crypto legal tender or not. Mr. Jetly clearly said it's illegal to accept / provide payment in crypto for any kind of service/product.
