Hey guys, this Case design was made in close contact with intron and cscape the devs of the most Bitfury based Boards. The Basic idea is to house 1-2 hash cards and cool them accordingly, we are not yet sure if the cooling is perfect but will test this soon when case protos arrive. As the Shash cards can be OCed a lot and the purpose of the Shash cards was primarily to provide some standalone Miners we decided it doesnt make sense in the first place to make a bigger Case for more Cards, but this could still be a possibility. Please note: Iam not sure if that many Fans are needed, this is just for OC testing, maybe just a front Fan and bigger Heatsinks are sufficient. If its ok to use a smaler Heatsink the Case could also be smaller accordingly################################################################################################################################################ Shash Solo/duo Case Features: #space for up to 3 - 92mm Fans #one addtional 60mm Fan can be mounted when using only 1 SHash board #safely transportable #stackable #Basic dimensions bxhxt =124x114x202mm Pictures: 3D pictures Manufaturer pictures: Finished and assambled case pictures: ################################################################################################################################################

A small heat sink and a single fan in front should be plenty. The Bitfury chips don't create a lot of heat.

yeah, but this is a small enclosed case have to test this

Of course, test it. But you're looking at maybe 40 watts, tops. It's not going to take much air movement to cool it.

yeah, but this is a small enclosed case have to test this Best for cooling is if you can force the air through a channel in only one direction. For example something like an airflow pipe. Also reduce the unused space between, to increase the airflow. Check out Serverhardware its the same principle, most common problem is the loudness of such designs. Youre design is nice to look at.

Shouldn't the case read "S-HASH MINER powered by BITFURY"?

I don't see the value of the perpendicular fans. BFL used them and it reeks of "I don't know what to do so lets strap on more fans".
A single "end" fan should be sufficient. If it isn't use two either "back to back" or one on either end in a push/pull configuration. If you still need improved cooling changing the spacing of the boards and designing a plastic "air shroud" so the airflow is forced across the fins (and not around it) should work fine.
Take a look at some rackmount server designs. The CPU "coolers" are simply heatsinks with no fans. The fans at the front of the chassis force airflow across the heat sinks and out the back of the chassis. If you don't have any boards to work with you could use some power resistors sized to produce an equivalent heat load for prototyping.

Wouldnt it be possible to mount one high output 120mm fan where the front fan is and mount 3 boards within that range and still move the heat? - as said.. its like 40w per board.. should be possible? I mean, you need to expand the case a little.. but might be worth it in density? Love the work though, really slick

My intention was that I thought the Shash could be pushed much further then 40GH and the heatoutput would increase a lot.

As mentioned before, I have 8 Cases to sell: 2 Silver ones (Alu) and 6 Black ones.
I will charge 90EUR for each case including shipping inside of Europe. (BTC accepted of course)
1 case contains all necessary mounting materials + 1 front Fan.
cheers Foofighter

The case still reads "Bitfury Miner Powered by S-Hash" when it should clearly be "S-Hash Miner Powered by Bitfury".
S-Hash is the brand and Bitfury ASICS are "powering" it.
Just sayin'.
