You could invest on Ripple , I bet Ripple will rise a lot in the near future , the price of Ripple now is just 0.79$ in Coinmartketcap.com, you can invest into Ripple for long term. Some of other coins you can research such as : DASH, MONERO or litecoin, those are some coins of top 10 but have good growth in coinmarketcap.com , then I think its very potential for investment.

Do you accept high risk? If all this money goes to zero, do you care?
If you can accept high risk, then I suggest you invest in ICO, because the return of ICO is amazing.
If you can't accept the high risk, I suggest you invest in BTC.

IOTA is good in my opinion and can try you to invest in it.
but try to invest in various ICO. (based on experience) sometimes with less capital, ICO is more profitable in the short term or long term.
you can find and know ICO that has a great chance to be good at https://icobench.com/
GOOD LUCK !!

Based on my opinion and some articles from best site, this is the forecast best alternative coin for investment in 2018, ass follows :
1. Ripple Coin, Ripple's focus is on payments. The San Francisco-based start-up is working with financial institutions in South Korea and Japan to use Ripple's XRP coin.
2. Ethereum, most of bounty in this forum based ethereum for the token, so this will be going up at 2018, though this still expencive you can buy some gwei for it.
3. Litecoin, jumped 14 percent to $261, about $100 below its record high hit in mid-December, according to CoinMarketCap. Litecoin has a market cap of $14 billion as the sixth-largest digital currency.
NEM, NEM has grown in value by roughly 5 times since October 2017, and that is after it slumped somewhat from its highest point. And I'm sure will be going high for few years later, this have good advisor.

Well thats a very personal decision, and it comes after some research and knowledge of the market and specifics relating to other coins available, bitcoin is a pretty safe bet, but I would watch the market closely and make sure to buy on a good low, then continue monitor the market and sell on as profitable high that you can, you may have to leave it sit for a while, or it could always possibly explode in minutes, if anyone could accurately predict the market, we would all be filthy rich, so I suggest you do your homework and make as much of an educated decision as possible, pay close attention to your comfort level and take in as much information as you can, and decide which information you trust the most and discard the information that you don't feel is as worthy, but never buy any coin with money that you don't wanna lose.

Any top 10 crypto on MarketCap for a long-term investment.

Otherwise look and educate yourself on the multitude of ICO's.  Most are scams that will produce no real-world value but the odd one will show huge returns on your investment.

Ultimately noooobody has a crystal ball...

As per my experience and the way every investor is going to explain you is to never jump in a pond of water with both feet, you never know the depth.

Similarly, diversify your portfolio in crypto currency and do your due research about the ones you want to invest in. Check out Poloneix to know all kinds of crypto currency. This will help you make more profits and minimize risk.

weeeellllll….i’d personally buy bitcoin with every penny of it (i shouldn’t really have to explain why).

on top of that, id goto bittrex and take a look at the loooong list of other cryptos that are out there, and probably buy a little of a couple coins that are on the cheap side (per coin) and that are in the beginning stages of a (bull) run, or just ending/starting to move sideways from a significant drop…

which 2 coins you ask? i can only say, “do your homework”….

and of course….’Good Luck!’

oh yeah…and be patient. and dont panic.

thats it for now, lol….

Just stay away from these flight-by-night Alt coins, if this is your first investment in Crypto. If you have to invest in anything

other than Bitcoin, then I would advise you to invest in LiteCoin {closest to Bitcoin} or even Ethereum {but I am not a fan} ...

these other dodgy coins will only burn you.. if you do not know what you are doing.  Roll Eyes   {Lots of them are just Pump n Dump

coins}   Tongue

You can invest in ETH.
then you can buy the ICO's token with your ETH.
the ICO's are usually comes with the cheap price first in their presale.
if their ICO is successful, the price will raise.

It depends on what you call little money. My advice will be as follows: try to buy IOTA, EOS, NEM, Cardano and ARK for cheap and wait for several months at least till they grow.

if you are investing on existing coin, then TNT,TRX,Dent,MSP, cordana are good. IOTA is also very good and promising coin. which has higher demand. If you has more than 0.2 ETH then , ICO are the best option for you.

Bitcoin would be your best option if you’re OC and brand conscious. The type of person who prefers Windows, iPhone or Intel. No need to go to cryptocurrency news outlets to get news or price updates, mainstream media reports about bitcoins. Cryptocurrency = Bitcoins

If you don't have that much money, it's suggest either Lite or Ripple. Not only are those somehow cheap when buying it in coinmarketcap, but it has potential in the future. If you have some extra, go also with Eth, which is for me the best altcoin there is. You can get also your BTCs from them when exchanging.

My choice might be ETH and EOS.

The price of the previous period is more than $1000, and now the price is $885!

The EOS peaked at around $15, and now costs $9.56!

I think the investment in EOS and ETH is very profitable!
