Someone has to start this thread.  

Now that coins get launched and scammer, pumpers and trolls stand to make a lot of money by buying low and dumping later there's so much bashing and attacking of new coins.

I stood up to lying trolls today, defending ADT (Androids) and I was banned.

Well, this is my thread now, try banning "the Vlad" here.  lol


Anybody else wanna vent about getting banned from Cryptsy or any other forum, let's hear it!

I just get banned from BTC-E as koolio hates me any uses any lame excuse to ban me ( last one was 30 days for using 3 caps in a sentence and they were BTC lmao )

Hey, do you know where people bought ADT at 10?   Some guy was saying he bought at 10 on a different site.  I'd like to know where cause that's a no-brainer.

Of course you will realise that Mods cannot be unbiased. Everyone in the CryptoCurrency world supports particular coins, although their loyalties change now and then.

However, I think last night on Cryptsy was partly the result of an inexperienced moderator. 


There are a few posters who are only there for stirring trouble, added to the multiple aliases and coin pumping, thats a complex brew !

This is why ignore/block functions are needed, mods are often useless or incredibly biased, I've ended up taking the blame for standing up to trolls and I'm pretty sure the only reason they side with these twats is because they were either there first or have been there the longest and the mods must just find it easier to get rid of the person who disagrees with their longterm members and perceive them as troublemakers.

You'll find that no matter how established these people are their communities swiftly become ghost towns or they just have the same few douchebags spamming away amongst themselves every day with no newbies staying for long. Thankfully though I've seen very little of that kind of thing here on Bitcointalk for now at least.

I think user vote kick/ban is better than giving 1 person power to kick whoever they like.

Nah, that's even worse, because then you'll have a group of assholes coming on and mass vote banning one or two people they don't like, it's much better to have ignore/block function, mods should only be really used to deal with virus' or spammers.

I agree.  We're starting to see these ban groups form here and target specific people.  It's bad for everyone involved

I will say in defense of Cryptsy that I was a warned twice.  The I didn't listen was that be bashers were warmed multiple times by 2 different mods and they didn't stop bashing and actually got worse.

So when I saw the mods couldn't do their jobs I stood up to the bullies and BAM, I was banned without a word and so was one of the Trolls.  I'm ok with that but be fair, all those trolls should have been banned and they should have been banned before I decided to take action.

stupid any of these sites have a chat box. imagine logging into your bank and there's a trollbox of idiots there trying to get you to run shell commands or click on malware. worst is having it on the front page too, so all your future users see "OMG SELL EVERYTHING ITS CRASHING" the second they land on your page and run away.

also getting into it with a moron(s) in a trollbox is a huge waste of time, so you were mercy banned in order for you to regain your life back.

But yeah, if someone is truly unfairly banning you, take it up with the owner of the site. If its the owner of the site banning you, its their rules. However, Exchange owners tend to like to know when someone has been unfairly banned, as if it is a common occurance, they tend to remove that person from modlyship.

However, Exchange owners tend to like to know when someone has been unfairly banned, as if it is a common occurance, they tend to remove that person from modlyship.

I can't say it was unfair, I just wish they had acted against the trolls who were obviously there with an agenda instead of waiting for someone like me to get fed up and say something and then banning both of us.  Cryptsy has a great atmosphere and the mods there are cool.  I couldn't find a thread dealing with getting banned from exchanges so I thought I'd open one up.
