Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I like it!  Surprised to see so many blocks being found by solo miners... (I'm assuming that's what the blank fields are).

That's scary. It is.

It didn't take long to reach a nearly-monopolistic situation similar to what exists in the "real world"... only in a few months. Deepbit and btcguild are to Bitcoin what Coca-Cola and Pepsi are to soda. I'm very surprised, and sad, that even in the Bitcoin world people keep behaving the same, i.e. not caring about the danger of centralized consuming. I hate us.

Error on ArsBitcoin's part (my pool.)  Our block numbers can be off (and we know it.)  I'll try to fix it when I get the time.
