I think this would be possible, however, it could take years for ETH to reach this. The risk is that some other new crypto will come along with better scalability, transaction speeds etc which would halt or slow down the growth of ETH..

There is already an ICO going on (Credits ICO) claiming that they can process 1000000 transactions per second. If they pull this off ETH could get a hard time reaching 10K I think.

I think the eth do have the potential to be more than $10000, but it should be a long way and most of the eth holders may sell their eth before that, so the most important thing is how to hold your eth and do not sell them easily.

not for this year, it's very difficult to happen. bitcoin is still the culmination of all crypto king. to be the first all altcoin must beat the bitcoin first. at least it took several years later and it might just happen.

I think it's impossible. never will eth price rival the bitcoin price. Maybe for a few more years I think it might just happen. but for now, that price will not happen. Because the price is determined demand and supply.

Yeah there is a very high chances of ETH taking the place of BTC in 2018....THE FLIPPENING. This is because the amount and speed of development going on ETH....its outrageously exceeds the same on bitcoin blockchain. ETH with to be 10 K price means MCAP of 1.3 Trillion USD (approx) on an implied 2050 MCAP i.e fully diluted which is around 15x from here. It is very possible considering the positive stance from KOREA, JAPAN and USA.

I believe it's possible but not anytime soon. Ethereum is a strong Altcoin and is used by many ICOs as a base platform. It has great popularity and many people have invested in it. But it will need at least a few years for the price to skyrocket that high.

I Don't think so, ethereum is not a value staking coin like bitcoin and they are still a lot of them being mined each block. the value will explose this year probably with the number of ERC20 project, but 10000 seems a little exagerated.

$ 10.000 for one ethereum is very much. Maybe, in 2-3 years, if the crypto-currency market does not bend, then it can happen.
I think that this year the price for one ethereum will not exceed 2.000-2.500 $. This and so will be an achievement for him.

Nothing is impossible in crypto industry. I strongly believe in the potential and capabilities of etherium to beat bitcoin someday and become ranked 1 but that will happen after several years. Eth can value up to 10k usd only after beating btc.

Are you sure etherium can defeat bitcoin from the first stage? It might be yes but its too hard to do it in near time.
Nothing is impossible and its true. Etherium no 3 in price but number 2 in marketcap so its possible to beat bitcoin someday.

what do you think? I answer, it is impossible for now. even I doubt it for this year. there are many factors that make me pessimistic. although I hold a lot of eth, but not mean I will think to be 10000 $. it may take 2 5 years

Sure Why not,If bitcoin can reach $10000 then any other crypto currency also can reach it.But no one know when it will.But it may takes too long time than the bitcoin because ethereum availability is more than the bitcoin.But in terms of maket cap value ethereum can beat bitcoin is some years.

It is not possible in the near future. But it would be nice to see Ethereum up there with Bitcoin. $10K is a large price value but if Ethereum has gone to $1K before then it can surely reach new ATH in the future.
