I, too, would like to see an updated reporting report. Before the merit system was introduced, I think I was spending more time searching for shitposts than actually posting here. And as you can imagine, the garbage posts were not hard to find. They were (and still are to some extent) everywhere. My report count is now something like 3000 with an accuracy of 98%, I think.
Hilariousandco handled a lot of the spammers I reported, and I am grateful for that. It's nice when you suddenly see someone get busted back down to brand new because a mod deleted all of their shitposts. I've been reporting a lot fewer posts now that we have the merit system--and I feel much less stress these days, too. *Whew*

What I would really like to see is some feedback on which of my reports were good, bad, or ignored. As it stands now, I report egregious (in my opinion) serial posters and wall-quoters and off-topic spammers and a week later the posts are still there. Sometimes I'm not even sure if I reported them since there is no way to check so I might be reporting the same ones again.

Yeah this all we need to avoid some members who created two or more accounts just get more project in bounty campaign. These are greedy members who were actually milking the system. It should be reported to the moderator so that we could help promote the healthy environment for the system. Yet, in dealing with these reports we must also consider that some of the members here are not too good in grammar construction. The thoughts must be consider in reporting to a post or somehow their should be any guide on how and when to report post. I hope that I could see some threads regarding on how to report post. Since I am newbie here, I am still have a lot of research to do and I am also interested in the cryptocurrency that one day I might have.

Really? Because that's not been my experience at all. The merit system seems to have made no difference for me whatsoever.

This is really a thing? There's a competition about who reports the most abuse posts?
A friendly competition, yes. It's a good thing as the mods can't be everywhere at once. I don't see it as a "friendly competition" I see it as a punishment for wasting my time . Most of my reports are about threads in a wrong section or users copy-pasting. I hate wasting my time reading posts that I have already read on another website, or reading spam topics on a pump and dump telegram channel. I have never met cases of copy-pasting here, but I guess it is because of I read crypto news in my native language. The only thing for reports I saw here it is case of multiply accounts, like on Meta board appear a thread "my friend's account is banned" or "my wife's account is banned", such threads are just rediculous, but I've never reported any I guess, I just do not know how to check out an IP address

I'm still reporting the same amount of reports that I was before it was introduced, but the merit system has been effective in a way. It's made the forum overall a better place to browse as there's more users trying to make good posts, though the altcoin section and a few others are still littered with spam.

"You have reported 329 posts with 91% accuracy".
I feel like I might be off/too strict with my models. I'm also wondering, though, if moderators investigate more deeply into the post (i.e. context) because sometimes I do mention that the statement has already been made earlier in the thread. (typical recycled post garbage).
I believe a lot more spam megathreads should be just cut off and deleted. I still see too many.

"You have reported 265 posts with 100% accuracy"
I seem to be reporting slightly less since the merit system came in. That's just anecdotal though as others have already said the opposite. It would be interesting if there are statistics for how many posts are deleted by moderators as a whole and if there has been any change.

Sorry for my ignorance, How can I find this.
Click on the "Report to Moderator" link at the bottom right of any post. That will tell you how many posts you have reported, and your accuracy.

I noticed there is mixed feeling on reporting, some feel more and some feel less after the merit system introduced. report stats before and after "January 24" might give us some ideas on relations between post behaviours, merits and spam reports

Shameful stats: You have reported 46 posts with 98% accuracy I don't know why, but usually I skip that shitposts which should be reported. Maybe sometimes I'm just too lazy to click "Report to moderator" button :/ Now I got more motivation to report posts more active. It's impressive to see report stats posted here. It's great to see many members who cares much about bitcointalk and spending lot of hours to make this forum to a better place.

Yah, I definitely report fewer posts now that we have the merit system, but I'm not reporting zero. I'm of the mind that shitposters are eventually going to get the message that it's near impossible to rank up without buying merit points, and that they'll give up. That might take some time, and I'm not even 100% confident that's what will happen, but I'll be patiently watching. I was furiously reporting posts prior to the merit system being introduced, as I was just so frustrated at how many there were. After that I started tagging the shitposters. Now that it takes so much work to rank up, I've kind of developed a sense of serenity that only comes with the knowledge that the shitposter issue will resolve itself naturally. I'm hoping that's what's going to happen. And although I'm still seeing idiotic pajeet shitposts, I'm definitely seeing a lot of users making longer, more coherent posts that obviously took more effort than is normally put into posting here. That's a joy to see.

That's wishful thinking The Pharmacist. Shitposters will continue shitposting it's what they are best at, but the system does prevent them from progressing and if theymos implements a system to only show merited posts on a topic it might mean those who only want a see the most constructive and relevant points can without shifting through rubbish replies.
It might just be me, but I find reporting posts and contributing that way to be quite therapeutic.

I think these stats are outdated or just not accurate.
Another possibility that these statistics are made only to compare moderators and most recognized members of the forum. I have already made 2500+ reports with 100% accuracy and I am not on the list.
After I have written this post I found that quoted post from Theymos is dated 2017 so everything is correct. I started to report spam and abuse during the bull market when the amounts of spam on the forum were overwhelming and that was after 2017. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think these stats are outdated... Well, this thread is over 15 months old, and the OP hasn't been updated. So yeah, it's safe to assume the data is outdated.

This is my report status :- You have reported 127 posts with 100% accuracy (125 good, 0 bad, 2 unhandled). Do not worry about your accuracy too much; one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.
