Hello everybody,
I can't find a reference that bitstamp.net truely visited the bitcoin2013 conference, as they stated on facebook.
Could this be a scheme to gain credibility, or am I over- looking something?
Your references that help clarify this issue are highly appreciated. Yours, Benjamin

I am not saying, I am asking. Now for the more serious first answer: It matters to me. Obtaining correct information, no matter how large or small can help profile an entity. In a financial environment attention to detail should be a strict requirement. It looks like they registered with the identity provider gbgroup that itself is registered as I found out here: http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//wcframe?name=accessCompanyInfo-- GB Group plc A Company registered in England and Wales, 2415211. Registered Office Address: GB House, Kingsfield Court Chester Business Park Chester CH4 9GB -- I am checking now, if bitstamp.net is a client of this company. If they really are, it solidifies my impression of bitstamp.net as a candidate exchange. Might I ask your trusted-exchange-selection algorithm, please?

It seems that Kris from BIPS had pizza with them. But that doesn't count? lol
I've been in communication with them before relating to phishing sites targeting their site, they are indeed legit.

No offense and with due respect, it is not useful without further action.
"Without further action" is the important part here. It means that without further action on my side (invested time), how can I verify Kris to be the Kris. I postponed looking into him and his corporation, after I found confirmation of bitstamp.net joining forces with gbgplc (as provided in my post above).

Wow, I finally came around reading up on BIPS. I am positively impressed, even though I have not tried this service yet. Thank you Kris.

The Bitstamp guys are %100 trustworthy, and were present at the San Jose Bitcoin conference. I've done lots of business with them and everything goes smoothly every time. 5 stars for Bitstamp.net

I do not see a question mark in your entire original post, therefor you are not asking My algorithm? How about: 90% of the time when I call with an issue someone picks up the phone. That someone speaks very good English. And the problem, sometimes having to do with banks and funds, is resolved in under 1 hour typically.

I am not saying, I am asking... I do not see a question mark in your entire original post, therefor you are not asking ... You are right, I changed the dot to a question mark. Actually, cases exist in which no question mark is needed. Please see the original post. My algorithm? How about: 90% of the time when I call with an issue someone picks up the phone. That someone speaks very good English. And the problem, sometimes having to do with banks and funds, is resolved in under 1 hour typically.
Thank you for your information. Please tell me where I can find the phone number, I checked: - faq
- support section
- about-us
- facebook
All I can find is either a contact form or an email address. Your answer is highly appreciated.
