Hello, I was wondering how I could extract the private key from my bitcoin address, so that I can secure it physically?  I could do it on mac, linux, or windows.  Thanks!

~DanielDaniel

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Well, if you want a service that can do this for you, you'll want to check this out:
http://www.casascius.com/

Otherwise, to do it yourself, you'll need to check into this:
