Anyone using a Yubikey NEO (http://www.yubico.com/products/yubikey-hardware/yubikey-neo/) with MtGox via the NFC on a Samsung phone to login for Gox?

more or less retired.

not sure if you figured it out yet but I seen this post on google so I'm going to just put up some quick info..

You may want to check out the YubiOATH app

It's similar to Google Authentication, using the same concepts, but instead of just leaving your secret code on your smartphone stored in the app which is visible by anyone who opens the app, instead, with YubiOATH you have an app that displays blank list until a Yubikey is swiped and then it's credentials generate the one time passwords and are listed.  It's secure now! With MTGOX, not everyone does this, they allow you to have multiple OTP codes so that you can use them in different areas. For example, use only the Yubikey OTP for withdrawals but have both your Yubikey OTP and Google App OTP for logging in. The NEO still functions as a normal Yubikey with my Lastpass app too! the YubiOATH app is a nice bonus..

some links that helped me:

YubiKey NEO and OpenPGP -  http://www.yubico.com/2012/12/yubikey-neo-openpgp/
---comes installed already, just have to change the mode of your Yubikey.. check out the article!

Board index » Yubikey » Yubikey NEO  -    http://forum.yubico.com/viewforum.php?f=26
--not much as of yet but I went up and down the the NEO threads.. Read everything.  It's a great resource...

after a better understand; its time to move on to installing of ykneo-oath onto your USB smartcard (yubikey).  This is required for the Yubi-OATH app.
Some created a HOWTO:
http://forum.yubico.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1159       -    [HOW-TO] - Install Applet on the NEO

my suggestion, just download GPShell and Library files to C:\somethingeasy\  and download the two files required, .CAB and GPinstall.txt file to C:\ so when you navigate with command prompt it's alot easier..

overall process was pretty easy, but I think it *WARNING* overwrites OpenPGP on the smartcard.. have to look more into this.. but just wanted to give a *WARNING*

Hope this update helps others! Smiley   God Bless
