Can we turn Bitcoin Mining around this summer?

Do you think we are able to turn Bitcoin Mining around this summer? Meaning difficulty decreasing?

There's some good discussions about this already, http://forum.bitcoin.org/?topic=4339.0 for example. Personally I doubt it as hardware costs decrease and new more capable hardware is made available the amount of mining is likely to increase or at least remain constant. BTW it's only summer on half of the planet.

Those who have invested in rigs would not have them powered off even if they can cook a chicken in the house. I don't see difficulty dropping, but will anticipate a much slower rate of increase.

BTW, I'm mining near the equator. It's summer all year round here.

It's not summer everywhere... But my bet also goes to slower increase.

I agree with Randy, I also have a hard time seeing the difficulty go down.
