Hi everyone!

I was looking for a thread on here for the Winter Olympics to see if anyone is having a bet on the events. I couldn't find one so I thought I would make one for everyone to post their opinions on each event and who people will be betting on. This will be my first time betting on the Winter Olympics so it will be interesting to see how well I go.

If anyone knows of any BTC betting sites that are taking bets on the Winter Olympics please let me know as right now I'm just using Bet365 to make my bets on the games.

The only bet I have placed until now is over 6.5 gold medals for the Netherlands (before the tournament started).

Hello! I was just talking about the Korean events. My own personal favourite crypto bookies haven't really picked up on it, but Nitrogensports does have a decent offering, the main events are all there: skiing, hockey, even curling (yeah, I know, but it's the only sports there I sort of really understand haha). For men's curling, I'm going to omit Canada (favourites to win) and go for a three-way even ML bet on Sweden @3.0, Switzerland @13.0 and Norway @15. If Sweden win, and they've got a good chance, I don't lose any money, but if the Swiss or Norwegians win, easy x10.

Canada's hockey looks good @5.3 too...

I have checked for you in this section but did not any thread as you looking but still if you want to bet for the winter olympics 2018 you can check the onehash betting site.
They are one of the long term running gambling site and well known the forum to trust to play the betting you wish. I see that winter olympics on the special events in the home page left pane. Please check.

Just like to thank the ones who looked for a BTC betting site taking bets on the Winter Olympics, I guess there isn't any which is a shame. I'll just continue to bet with Bet365 then. So far I have just been betting on the Ice hockey as I know a little about this winter sport compared to the other winter sports. In the upcoming USA/Slovenia I got over 5.5 goals @ $1.70 and the USA -3 at the line @ $2.45 which is a more risky bet. Good luck to all betting on the Winter Olympics.

I'd be careful when betting on the Olympics. A lot of these events is where anything can happen, and there's always controversy with the judges and such. Gambling with the winter Olympics is really high risk risk in my opinion. Stick to what you're good at!

Yes I agree with this as I have seen some athletes do well but score very low which makes me think that they could be rigged some of the times. This is why I prefer to bet on the ice hockey as its like betting on the football with the over/under goals and the lines which I like to bet on. I think the gold medal bets are good for the countries which people think will do well.

Didn't know they offer betting on the olympics good to know that they offer some bets since covering them all would be a daughting task to try to do with the many events changing times at a moments notice.

Not familiar with the line of bets but since its Olympics then I think its better to play with those favored countries even small odds, I think it will be much better to take that risk as we see more games are regarding to the pride and honor for each players to represent their homeland, I'll be checking this out from nitro especially that contest. looking forward to see more lines coming from the house, good luck.

For some reason, I don't really like to bet on or watch the Olympics anymore, just too much scandals going on there in terms of illegal performance enhancing drugs being used by entire national teams (Russia).
And then you've got the usual stuff like corruption within the IOC. I just tend to ignore most of the event entirely nowadays.

It's not like Fifa doesn't have its scandals, but at least you can be fairly sure that the top players are clean.

Thanks for making this thread. I also want to share few my thoughts about Winter Olympics 2018.
I mostly like to watch biathlon. So far German athltes won 3 gold medals there - one by A. Peiffer and 2 by Laura Dalhmeier in women races. But finally today Marten Fourcade won pursuit race with big advantage, despite that he started only from 8th position. And it's sad that biathlon legend Ole Einar Bjørndalen didn't qualified to Olympic games, I'm a big fan of him.
It's also interesting to watch hockey. But without NHL players it's not same. But I still will try to bet on some games, but without players from NHL it's less predictable.
And I'm always trying to watch bobsleigh, luge and skeleton, I think it's the most extreme sport in olympics, and also ski jumping.
I'm rarely betting on Winter Olympic games, because I'm not expert in winter sports. I'm only betting on hockey and curling mainly.

Yes that is right but it is part of every sports, some big whales always try their best to make pollute the environment but i do not think that we should stop playing gambling on Olympic games because of such s candles or activities, because if we will miss the Olympic then we have to wait for next 5 years, Hope that this time Olympic will be free of such things.

I will check out Nitrogen Sports and place some bets on there with some BTC I have spare. I always forget to check this BTC betting site when looking for betting sites that take BTC lol I mainly used DirectBet before they closed down which was a shame as they always took bets on the Olympics.

Slovakia won against Olympic Athlete from Russia team 3:2, despite that russians were leading 0:2 after scoring two early goals.
Slovenia wong against USA 3:2 after overtime. USA were also leading 0:2.
I'll just remind about tournament system. Group winners and best best second-placed will advance to quarterfinals directly, all other teams will have to play in 1/8 final.

The Slovenia/USA result was a bad one for me, it was looking very good when the USA was 2-0 up and I thought my bet looked very good for the -3 for USA to win but I give Slovenia a lot of credit for fighting backing and making the game go into OT. I also lost my bet on over 5.5 goals for this game lol so it wasn't a good day for me. I'm hoping that I can get my next bet on the Switzerland/Canada match over 5.5 goals.

Currently I only have my eyes set on the figure skating/ice skating event as that is the knly event where my country has a contestant/competitor. I’m actually not really partaking in the part for the Winter Olympic betting but I can see how people can get exctied on that especially with how escoting it is to gamble it also comes as a national pride when your country wins

I was always interested in the olympics, but was always pretty sad to see that there are not a support from the gambling websites, you can't really see a good platform to bet on olympics and it's sad that the only things that most of the gambling sites support is team-sports and tennis, you won't see sections like swimming or running although I believe that there is a demand for that.

Nitrgoensports has once did the section and soon after that they posted that they had to close it because it was hard to maintenance the lines and it had a very low demand, I really hope that another major gambling website will give a support to the olympics soon.
