I'm new here and i'll tell a bit about how i started with bitcoins... ;x
When I discovered bitcoins, i directly began to "mine" (Not really mining if you look @ what sort of miners there are). But after that i discovered that it would take days/weeks/months before i would even get profit from it! Then I saw you could get free bitcoins from sites! I was super excited, again, takes weeks before you can actually make anything on this. As you see in the previous examples, I mostly began with bitcoins to actually make money with, not much, but every $/€ 0.01 was good for me!
Mostly i'm now into gambling, small bets (like 0.00001 BTC), but everyone started small (unless you invested real money in it, what I DIDN'T DO! (Yes i know, it's risky, but it can be profitable if you know how to (ab)use the system of it!
