Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

But http://mining.mike.kz (now http://asc.cryptopool.co.uk) broke the 2 TH/s (2000 GH/s) barrier this evening!

An amazing feat not just for AsicCoin, but for ANY Alt.Coin pool in existence!

I've noticed!!!  I'm getting fewer coins mining solo, but they are worth quite a bit more now. Smiley

At what point would you suggest switching from solo to your pool?  I have about 4 GH/s (not much i know), but I still get a block or two a day now.

what OS are you using?


I ll post an general Explanation for creating an config file:

On OS X:

go to : /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/AsicCoin/
create a file named asiccoin.config   


On WINDOWS:

go to: .../AppData/Roaming/AsicCoin/

create a file named asiccoin.config


On Linux: i think every linux user knows what to do... ;-)


then put these values in that file:

listen=1
server=1
rpcuser=yourRPCUsername
rpcpassword=yourRPCpassword
rpcport=13435
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=173.71.201.121
addnode=14.161.68.183
addnode=192.3.79.186
addnode=98.214.94.227

addnode=209.188.16.220

then restart the Asiccoin Client and it should sync now!


the problem is that the loaded nodes from Asiccoin wallet application are mostly not online or
have maximum of connected peers.. so the best solution is to put the above nodes in the config file
or add them in the client-console via "addnode IPADDRESSS add" where IPADDRESSS is the IP
of the node. U may try a ping before using a node. to use a node one time for connection just use "addnode IPADDRESS onetry".

I'm sorry but I'm not able to  follow your tips.

Let's start saying I us Windows 7 home premium SP1 32bit.

I downloaded the software form this address http://asiccoin.biz/downloads.php choosind windows client option (the other option is GitHubSource and don't know what it is).




It came as a zip file on my desktop.
I unzipped the only folder in it (AsicCoin) to my desktop and post the screenshot of what it contains




Then I doubleclick "asiccoin-qt.exe": it opens the software but with the results I posted earlier (no block sources available and 0 connections).

Now I search for the address  .../AppData/Roaming/AsicCoin/  I can't find it: it seems it doesn't exists on My pc:
I also used the search tools on windows putting asiccoin as the item to search and it only find results on my desktop as you may see in the screenshot below




So I stop here and can't go further and follow your suggestion.

PS: what program/software I have to use to create a file named asiccoin.config?

Thx for the efforts your putting to help me: please be patient but I still have to get down from the tree.

well no problem. we will get it work.

i think the directory "AppData" will not be listed in the search-function of windows because
it contains "sensible" application data like the name already says... but i am not an WIN32/64-PRO
so i may be wrong with the search-stuff...

you have to go to that Directory the hardmode...

One way is to open commandline and use "cd" and "dir" command to find the files.
But i am not sure if you know how to use commandline.

The other option is to use the windows-explorer.
Go to C:/
then go to directory "Users"
then go to directory with your computername
then go to directory "AppData"
then go to directory "Roaming"

now you should find the Directory called "AsicCoin".

To create the configfile you can use any texteditor but save it as a .conf file. Not .txt or something similar....

I made a sample config file with all working nodes:
so you can also take this file and change the RPC-username and PW if you gonna use solo mining...

P.S. i had a look on your screenshots so i think the right path in your case is:

C:/Utenti/Home/AppData/Roaming/AsicCoin
