[ANN][XPM] CryptoBot Investment Fund - Second Investment Round

Hi Folks,

After a period of 14 days testing with changing results I am opening up the crypto bot for a second round of testing. I am aiming on getting 5000 XPM in the fund and see how it is reacting to even bigger trading.

I learned a lot about the bot in the last 14 days, could eliminate a few bugs and tweak the algorithm so that I managed to break even (I hope it stay like that on the last day) after a major blow.

I am looking for investors that are willing to invest a minimum of 25XPM so that I am able to test the scalability of the bot.

The test will last 14 days after which your money will be returned plus the profit (or god forbid minus the loss). Every day an update will be posted showing the trading results of the bot, like the one below.

When you are interested reply to this post and I will contact you for the details.

This round I will take 15% management over the profits of the bot.

Why should you invest?

• A big return a day is not bad at all.
• The bot will - when large enough - create better market liquidity. You will need a lot more XPM to manipulate the market.

Why am I asking for investors?

• To spread the risk. Although the bot is working now, it is not said that when more money is added it will continue to work.
• To spread wealth a little. Let some people profit who would otherwise not be able to.

How do we know this isn't scam 1,000,001?
Standard answer is You can't. So when you are interested only spent a few coins and only coins that you can afford to lose.
You can always contact me via PM on this board and I am a pro trader on mcxNow.com and often to be found in their troll box.

What will happen after 14 days?
When the test period if over your coins will be refunded plus profit or minus the loss. I will then open the bot to the general public. As investor in the second round you will never be charged more than 15% management fees for CryptoBot. As an early investor you also have priority for consecutive rounds.

Can I have my money back before the 14 days are over?
No you cannot. Only when it turns out that the bot is not handling the increased volume well, I will abort the test and refund all investors.

Is it possible to lose my complete investment?
Yes it is possible, but the way the bot is programmed it is very unlikely. Nonetheless you should only invest money that you can afford to lose.

What algorithm are you using?
Unfortunately I cannot disclose that information, because by doing so I would render the bot useless.

End of second trial period

Lessons learned:

• The strategy works as that it makes a profit in the alt coin traded
• The strategy doesn't work great in declining markets, when compared to BTC
• Although the banter with the investors is a great thing, you should not get influence by them

Going forward:

Currently the bot is stopped and all the funds assets are in BTC. I am testing some new strategies for a different bot, but not using the fund for this.
Updates on this testing will be posted on this forum, but probably not on a daily basis. In the mean time I am trading my own funds manually.

If you want your investment back please let me know. As all funds are in BTC I would prefer to pay back in BTC to avoid exchange fees and price movements. I can pay back using a BTC address or user 2 user transfer on mcxNOW.

You can also leave your investment in the fund and I will start trading them manually together with my private coins.

When I don't hear from an investor the funds will be parked in BTC and left alone.

That was quite a blow tonight (GMT) in the price of XPM. Since the start of the second round of the bot XPM/BTC lost 35.10% of its value. The shares when measured in BTC only lost 17.39% of their value. Looking from it that way one could argue that the bot is doing a good job. On the other hand just having dumped XPM and not trade it at all would have been the best thing to do.

I am now almost completely out of XPM, so expect a drop in share price (XPM) when XPM would magically recover.

Day 10

A friend from Spain came over and we decided to go to the seaside to enjoy the lovely weather. Because everything was arranged short notice I didn't have the time to update this thread. Sorry for that.

We didn't have much trading over the weekend and XPM just took another hit. This resulted in the share price expressed in BTC to go down almost 3% over the weekend and I started to divest in XPM. I had hopes that XPM could manifest itself next to BTC and LTC, but it seems that it cannot. It is yet another mine and dump and I can't see it recover in the short term. Also the volume on BTC-e has dropped significantly which also makes it harder to trade. So I now mainly focus on trading LTC/XPM

It seems that the alterations made in the fund are making it to grow in BTC value as well. To accomplish this I have lowered the size of each trade, trade a fix number of alt coin rather than a fixed number of BTC and I diversified into LTC as discussed earlier in this thread. Also the current stability in XPM hovering between 0.0025 ~ 0.0026 has helped of course.

Quite a profitable day for the bot. I am going to cut down on trading size though because I want to see if the bot can be profitable in BTC as well, which should make sens in the ever declining XPM market.
So expect some less profitable days to come, especially in XPM. The reason I am cutting down is that the bot runs out of funds on one side (BTC or XPM) quite easily and that is preventing it form being profitable in BTC, at least that is what I suspect.

Is it possible for your bot to act independently on behalf of each investor, ie they give you the API key to their account? Although this would complicate things somewhat at your end, having to place (say) 50 orders each time instead of 1, it may help increase trust levels.

Interesting thought. At the moment this is not possible yet, because the bot is not programmed to handle multiple accounts and running a bot for each account is not possible because of the algorithm.
Moreover it doesn't increase trust level, because having the api keys I could still transfer money out of your account or trade against my own account and take your money that way.

Depends on the exchange, some will let you configure remote API access for each individual function such as get balance, place order, withdraw etc.

I can see one problem from your end - how do you get paid when all you can do is trade on someone else's account?

The bot has been started and is buzzing its way into profit (I hope).

I decided to, instead of publishing the total fund size, publish the price per share. Initially the price per share will be 25XPM and I will PM all investors how many shares they hold today or tomorrow.
Every day the new price per share will be published. Doing it this way allows me to accept new investors better, as they just have to pay the PPS to enter.

Furthermore I will start trading other alt coins traded on mcxNOW probably as of monday. Liquidity there has increased significantly and I think diversifying might add to profitability. Let me know if you have objections and we can discuss.

Or are you saying that the bot itself trades across currencies? Like will the xpm instance be separate from the litecoin instance; or will it simply be one fund with the bot trading back and forth between all of them?

I agree, that it doesn't matter weather the chart show the total amount or the price of one share. But I think it is important to provide a (anonymous) list of the shareholders at least once per round or once per two weeks. This would increase transperency and the trust in your fund.

Volatility does help the bot. The down curve on XPM the last two days was because I stopped trading XPM and divested. I shouldn't have, but was disappointed in XPM. I know that these sentiments normally arise at the bottom and therefor the decision to divest was wrong. But with hindsight decisions are always better to make .

He's not dead. I've been in contact with him and he's still manually trading at the moment. I don't know the value currently but he hasn't run off.

No idea, actually, and even if I did know that's a metric I would leave to him to publicize. He told me something a little over a week ago but I was out with my family in a busy area and distracted and didn't take the note so I don't remember for certain. I know this sounds odd but for me this was a walk-away-and-check-back-in-a-couple-months investment.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for not letting you know for such a long time. But with the year coming to an end it is very busy with my 'normal' business and I have been on several business trips.
It is also not good news that I bear.

As I told in a post a while ago I was heavily invested in MCS shares and as you might MCX shut down it business and the share collapsed.

This resulted in the fact that we are down almost 40% since last report.

It is also worth nothing that I am currently 50% BTC and 50% cash, because I think BTC will see much lower b4 the way up is found again.


Current value of a share is: 0.015627066BTC

Total since end of 2nd round   -73.81%

Not sure why you chose to sell the MCX at a loss though, they were always going to rebound to at least 0.2 when the panic was over.  Oh well done deal now.

It would be good to know your short term strategy for the fund while manually trading.  For me I thought this fund was about testing the bot and seeing what it could do, so I'm not altogether comfortable with having the funds manually traded without knowing some kind of plan.  That being said, having endured  ~75% loss since all this started, the remaining amount I have in the fund is starting to become insignificant now so you may as well trade it however you want.

Feeling the same here. With a 75% loss I will just stick to it and see if he can recover anything.

In all honesty no.  After I posted that I remembered that I sold all of my MCX at 0.1 (thankfully at no loss though) for the exact same reason .  I thought that there was a good chance they would rebound, but even if they do I don't want my money on that exchange any more.  I can't believe people still want to use mcxnow after the bullshit that RS has performed, but that's another story!

Back on topic, marp we all put money into this knowing that it was a risk, so I'm not too bothered that it has lost so much %.  In USD it's probably not that bad with the BTC rise   Knowing your other project that you have on the go, do you have an ETA when the bot will be back up and trading?

AGREED OMFG!!!  I just want my 250 xpm back.  Could care less about the bitcoin! Would have been better off sending our funds to cryptsy than gox cmon bro WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
